I don't sub ohm so not the best person to ask but I remember clearly that when we first had 'mods' that were 5v, we couldn't use regular attys, had to use HR ones. By reg atty, I don't mean sub ohm resistance, either. IIRC, the HR's were above 2.5 ohms.

In the description it says to use only protected batteries. To my understanding the batteries we use as a whole aren’t protected due to additional size. Is that mod slightly longer than the more common sizes that use unprotected 18650s? Can you fit a mosfet in there without any issue?
Because it's anodized aluminum a mosfet wouldn't ground properly.

What about a mech would make it not suitable for sub ohm vaping? Very thin battery contacts? My level of “expertise” has me checking the coil, battery capability and then overall quality of the mech itself. I’m sure there’s some $2 mechs out there built out of tissue paper but the ones I’ve seen like that (da one, for example) I wouldn’t want to run anything in.

What separates mechs suitable for sub ohm from ones not suitable?
The switch and or the spring for the battery.

Some older mechs were not designed to handle the current that sub ohm vaping uses. The switch, springs, and other components could fail from overheating because of it. Most modern mechs are built much better and can easily handle sub ohm builds just fine.

Idunno if anyone's posted these yet, but I figured, "What the heck."

We've got a few of the larger ones, the 18650 version, and don't really want any more internal battery mods, but for the "Kinky" folks among us (it'll hit ya's), $7 ain't bad!!!

"Seven dollah, make ya hollah!"

OBS Cube Mini Vape Kit with Cube Mini Tank - 1500mAh & 3ml

I can't speak to this particular model, but I'm really liking its big bro'.

Only one of these is mine. The other traveled west, a while back. Don't bother laughing at the colors either, because I don't care. :w00t:

I got one of the minis, runs power depending on your coil, can't change power setting, which I didn't realize, so now just sits on the shelf. It is a tiny little mod and good looking though, just not what I thought.
