I'm getting them as insurance: if all my regulated mods fail and I can get no more, I'll have the mechs to fall back on.
But do get to know them and how to use them now, while you still have regulated mods around.

Mechs are actually very easy to use. In Asia, many beginner kits include mechs. You do need to mind your P's and Q's on battery safety, but darn it--YOU SHOULD BE ANYWAY--no matter what sort of mod you're using.

Regulated mods can be excellent load calculators, and are also handy for testing build resistance and such. They even vape! I have an Hcigar Warwolf right here, right next to an excellent Hcigar M6 clone. They complement each other well.

I like eleaf's cheap stuff. I have an invoke...
Smallest dual 18650 device I ever saw. I had one in my hand at a shop one time. It was on clearance for like 15 bucks and I didn't take it. I kick myself to this day. Very cool little mod.
Speaking of Eleaf, I did get this, in a kit, for 15 though.

Looks like a pretty nice mech for the price. It weighs 8 1/2 oz, so you could take it to the scrapyard if you don't like it. I like that style fire button, and the battery adjustment rocks. Plus you get a matching RDA. I think I'll get one. What color are you getting? I'm thinking silver...

On Edit:
I bought one in silver.

I don't know much about mech squonkers. But it is pretty.
I have two. They're great for what they are.

... I have them, they still work, and they're still not as capable or safe on batteries as ANY of my regulated...
I happen to provide a reclamation service wherein such dangerous and hazmat worthy devices are safely disposed of in my collection. :D

I posted this on the Final Countdown thread. There is someone on eBay selling mechs and RDA's at insane prices. I've already received three of the five that I've ordered, and they're all good quality clones. One had a small chip in the top. Check it out if you're interested in $10 (plus S&H) mechs and RDA's.

He's also selling some lavender body spray and pumpkin spice soap, which makes perfect sense.

Lol... Nah, they make such a great looking paperweight. :) Not only that, but they make great handles to hold on to my RTA's when I rebuild them. :) Without the batteries of course. :) I have an old King V2 that I use to hold the mod while building My extra Nemesis magnets hold up the grocery list quite well on our fridge. I have an extra pack of 10 Nemesis magnets in a baggie I keep in the vape box to collect any extra clippings of kanthal that get in there, along with the allen wrenches etc. I have a jig I made to hold the coils in the right place using snipped off coat hanger.. that's attached to those magnets too along with a dremmel cutoff tool. and a pin I used to poke holes in atomizers to accept high VG juices... yea, extra magnets are great. :) so are mech mods as holders. :)

What about some nice Lard Soap.

Homemade Lard Soap | eBay

I'd think it is tallow so might be a good shaving soap. I like tallow soaps for shaving. My user name 'Tabac' is a German made Tallow based shaving soap which is the only soap I now use. That foam in a can is crud. Tabac does smell a bit weird at first. Some describe it as the smell of an old lady's handbag. I wouldn't know about that.
