Does anyone know a thing on protein powders?? I got a ninja blender and well.. trying to do things a bit healthier..

I know a lot about protein. Whey is the most common and popular in shake mixes but I don't use it because it is a by-product of cheese, it can also make you a bit bloated sometimes.

My favorites and the main ones I use are pea and hemp protein to add to things when I need a boost of it.

A lot of people don't realize there are so many types of great protein in plants, and of course beans and legumes. Most people think animal meat is the only good source of protein. Can't tell you how many times I have gotten the question "Where do you get your protein"

Is why I am asking.. I would love to use my blender more.. and well.. can do without the bloat, and trying to find good tasting things to get me happier I do have an app on my droid for shakes and juices.. just thought I'd ask on the protein stuff, specially since joining the ymca and playing around in the gym and contemplating joining the beast mode.. (they have a blast at mine, and my son loves it!!).. I know my brother says my sil uses the protein and he tried it, but was too chalky for him. Ugg!! Just a random thought.. I do love my fruits, but I eat very little.. Not a big fruit eater. Veggies on the other hand, can eat them all day..

That's sad I know how it is; my mother's family all stopped communicating with one of their brother's, it was bad ... but still.

Yeah it is frustrating, I tried for a long time to help them work through it but two of them are just so stubborn I had to give up. I just really hope they work through it before it's too late. Like I said there are reasons for it but they are not good enough ones and pride is the biggest problem in this situation.

Sometimes there are very valid reasons to completely cut communication with someone and that's understandable.

Well that shake I posted the link for it pretty much the best I have found. It has so many great things in there, probiotics, live enzymes and the like. The chocolate is not terrible tasting but I would definitely add at least a banana and some agave nectar to it.

I've been thinking about it, and I did a little research, but didn't order anything. My hubby is pretty much a MacGyver type, so I'm not entirely worried, but I would like to be prepared for the worst.

I know there are threads here on ECF, but I was just curious if any who frequents this thread has.

NO NO NO NO NO ... do not under any circumstance consider using regular bats ... you need to use batteries that are specifically designed for high drain use and to be rechargeable. If you need some info on battery safety, I can post some links, just let me know.

NGA, sure.. glad to read up on anything I can with these.. Not sure but, that is where I read this bit:

Using 4 AA batteries gives you plenty of power that will last for a couple of days or more since AA NiMH batteries are rated 2300 mah or more, 3 times as much as a normal AAA battery.
