    Hmmm
Was your daughters set up cute? (I know you're drawn to cute.) And yes!!! Wonderful accident!

I slid off the road in the boonies one night. It was raining hard/red clay dirt road. My car fish tailed and did a nose dive into a ditch. I asked the Lord to pleeeeease send me angels to put my car back on the road. And along came a van with a couple of scary lookin' men in it. They got out of their van, told me their names and got to work pulling me out of the ditch. I had no idea that the Lord has angel's named Carlos and Moose.:laugh::laugh:

My daughter's was not cute, just a basic set up; but I had never seen anything like it before. But yes, I love cute & tiny:laugh:
Angels do come in the strangest sizes & shapes don't they?!

I worked hard to make sure it matched the drapes... :p

    1) Getting shot at during work (Circle K, 17yo) during the Farm Worker unrest in the Coachella Valley. Needed to calm down. It worked.
    2) Heart attack

    Hey!!! That's MY job!!!!!
I have Pandora on it, as well as Audible Books....and Angry Birds (that has to be the MOST FRUSTRATING GAME EVER!!!!!).
    .

Isn't that game just a pain! I gave up & let the grandkids play with it!

    hi again everybody :)

my turn to answer kayte's questions.....

    1. my parental units put me in psychiatric treatment when i was 15 (go figure) and while i was there, EVERYBODY smoked. so i had to in order to fit in. after that, i never smoked all that much, maybe a half to 3/4 pack a day. i smoked more during my college days and a few years after when i drank a lot.

    2. i got all health conscious when i was in my mid 30s, started running and biking a lot....but still couldn't stop smoking. finally i got tired or coughing and being out of breath, so i quit. but it didn't work. i quit like 5 times and started again, mostly due to stressful situations. finally i decided to try ecigs and once i did, i never smoked another real cigarette again. (since february).

i am very proud of all of you for quitting.

And there's me to! May the Lord make His face to shine upon you:wub:

    Good morning Jerry. :)
I don't know why kids want to grow up (me included!) It's a TRAP! On a side note, one of my favorite Dr.Who quotes: "There's no point in being grown-up if you can't be childish sometimes." ;)

Apparently I don't look as old as I am. Dale said I barely look 42. I like Dale. A lot.

Hi elf! Could you please re-do the walls in the bathroom? You won't believe what deej used in
    there.
Hope Rhonda is okay and not laying in bed sick needing a bowl of chicken soup. :(

LOL! I just couldn't bring myself to erase what you said to Elf about the bathroom!!! I still say you look like a really young woman:)
As to acting childish, Trust me, I don't talk in RL like I do on here ... for some reason you guys all make me feel like I'm about 25:laugh:

To paraphrase my sentiments on the subject:

    and rhonda....where are you?????????
I agree with the others that said 'that's awful'. :( I guess the only way I can see something like that is if my kid was trying to kill themselves and I just had absolutely no idea what else to do to keep 'em alive. I'm glad you made it out of there and hope that it gave you some tool or another and wasn't just a straight out horrible thing.

I think smokers that are trying to quit should be put in to stress free zones while they do it. :D I did the same thing. Repeatedly. I seemed to pick stupid times to try and quit.

I love ecigs. And the man that invented them. And all the people that have improved them and made them so user friendly. Yep.

Hi, everyone. I'm here, just not feeling good at all, Buff emailed me and told me ya'll were worried, sorry. I have to go back to bed, I feel awful. Love to you all
Aww... so sorry you feel so lousy. Back to bed sounds like a very good idea. Sending you cyber hugs and chicken soup.
    Ok my turn.

    1. Started when I was 11, in the Boy Scouts of all places. The older kids were doing it and of course I wanted to be cool and fit in. I started a lot of things very young in my life. I used to sneak off when camping and smoke and do other things I shouldn't have been doing, when your a kid you think your grown up, and I had to grow up pretty quickly. I wish I had never started and while I now have some issues with the Boy Scouts, those were some of the best days of my life. Still one of my favorite things in this world is going off alone in the woods and getting horribly lost.

    2. I had tried to quit many times, and was successful for over a year twice but always went back to it, and always, always still wanted to smoke during the times I quit. I had tried the gum, patch etc. and none of them worked, cold turkey was the only way I was able to do it and it was really hard. Stress always took me back to smoking. It is pretty incredible that it was easier for me to quit meat and dairy than it was cigarettes.

What prompted me to quit this time is actually that my wife decided we wanted to try to have a baby and of course she did not want to be smoking for that. That is no longer a reason but it was so easy to quit and keep of cigarettes by vaping I don't think I will ever have another smoke. I am actually already down to 6mg nic juice and have had no issues with it at all. I tried a cigarette about 5 days into vaping and it was so disgusting, vaping is so much better on so many levels.

Oh and I just realized it has been over 6 months now. I missed my 6 month date over a week ago.
    Hi Aaron!
Boy Scouts. Yeah. My husband was a boy scout so I know some troops are... well... not the ideal place for a lot of boys. The thought of getting horribly lost in the woods doesn't sound the least bit fun to me! :)

My husband quit for two years once, when he got pneumonia and had to spend four days in the hospital. Scary stuff. Unfortunately, he never stopped wanting one...

I'm sorry having a baby is no longer the plan, if it's still a desire of your heart. Being down to 6mg is great. I'm at 12 and 9... interchangeably. (Started at 24 and 18.) I don't know if I want to go lower or not. I guess right now I just don't care. I find it still helps me. At least I think it does, since I haven't gone without to really find out.

Congrats on 6 months! That's a big milestone and a fun one to celebrate. Sorry you missed it!
OK folks, I've got to get off my .... and get a few things done around here. My jigging rod needs to be re-strung because I'm off to Wilmington, NC on Monday for a week of R&R with my son, and the other boys (step-sons) are coming in for the weekend for Father's Day. Rooms to clean, beds to make, house to flush, um, I mean clean up. So, I'll be in and out.

Bye elf! I hope you have a great time with your son! Don't work too hard today.

Normal is just a setting on the dryer. :p

I've really enjoyed reading all your 'start and stop' stories. Seriously. It's been a great way to get to know each of you better. :) I hope those that haven't chimed in yet, will.

I've got to get off here now. 'See' you all later. Have a great day!

    Making progress....

I haven't been fishing since I went down there this time last year. As I was putting new line on the reel and putting tackle together, I got hit hard by the smoking monster...found myself absently looking around for the pack and lighter. It's the first time in a while that a trigger has hit that hard. Vaped through it and then sat down and ate....a cantaloupe. A big one. Yep, I ate the whole thing.

It got me to thinking, what/how am I going to manage my normal rig in one hand, cigarette in the other style of fishing? Dropping a cigarette in the drink is one thing...dropping my Spinner w/Protank would be a disaster. I may take those Vapor Coutoures to the pier. Losing one of those wouldn't hurt quite so bad. Plus, they're small, lightweight and not as likely to raise many eyebrows.
