Dale, I was needed at home, my mother was bedridden with MS and taking care of her, working full time and taking care of my much younger sister was too much for my Dad. Another reason, was that I became sick and I had enough to do, with taking care of myself and helping my family. There were ladies who I could have married, but life had other plans for me.

Honestly, Jer, bacon aside, I've seen your posts in many threads over a pretty long period of time, and you always make every lady feel special. That's a gift, and I'm glad you've been able to share it with so many. Yes, God had his plan. There's no telling how many women you've helped feel a little better about themselves, and what they did with that.

Well mine had his right before he hit 40, and I was it, so, it was kinda fun for me too

Same here...but now he's sliding down the hill towards ~eeekkk~ 70 (I'm 57) and the age difference is beginning to show. I love the old fart but lordy he can be a stick in the mud. We both come from similar backgrounds (army brats/children of CO's) and the different generation/ideologies/beliefs seem to become more magnified, if you know what I mean.
