I just wanted to thank you all for your thoughts and kind words both here & on Deej's thread. As I said over there, it amazes me still the kindness of folks you haven't met.
My mom wanted to meet me at the vet's, so she could take me to lunch/dinner afterwards. We ate breakfast food (yes, including bacon - sorry don't feel like getting too excited about it atm lol). I'm way full now - we split an avocado/tomato omelet and some pancakes. The food was awesome, and got my mind off of things for a bit as we chatted. It was nice.
But now I'm home to my empty room...

Sonic, we, here on the lurkers thread and on Deej's thread, have very big hearts and I think that the people here and there are some of the finest this forum has to offer. It's tough to lose a friend, I'm sure Tabby is up there with my Precious and they are having a blast!
