Hi all you beautiful not getting much sleep peeps!!
Seems like I missed some good times ... story of my life!
I think I'm caught up but I might have missed a few posts.
I ended up making a rather unexpected trip to TN on Friday to help a buddy out with the annual fireworks display he was having that evening. I received a call late Thursday night from my friend wanting to know what time I was going to be there ... I'm like ????? WTH ???? Anyway, long boring story short, I had apparently committed myself to assisting him again this year after the festivities the prior year. I totally don't remember having done so but he swore he had witnesses!
Anyway, so rather than leave him scrambling trying to find someone to fill in, I dropped my plans to go to Atlanta for the vape meet and hit the road the next morning. Luckily he had already done most of the hard work. He had everything all diagrammed and mapped out so we just had the actual setup to do but still not something you want to be breaking in someone totally green with either. If something had gone wrong or somebody got hurt, I would have felt at least partially responsible so I just couldn't say no despite my prior plans. I did not visit with two of my old friends, bourbon and coke, this time around so I'm certain that I left next year open ended!
I did have fun and it was great seeing some folks I haven't seen in a while but at the same time I was really bummed I didn't get to go to my first vape meet! I was really looking forward to meeting GG and Charm in person and maybe some other folks I've seen around on ECF. Maybe next year they will pick a different weekend ...
I did intend on trying to post what was up and even took my Nook for that purpose but it wasn't cooperating so I never got around to doing that. My bad GG & Charm, I hope you aren't too mad at me!
I probably should have taken my laptop but really didn't want to lug that honker around ... funny isn't it, laptops are now considered not so portable with all the smart phones and tablets out there now!
Oh and driving home was a real blast, rained hard practically the entire way ... even on the interstate folks were only going 25 or 35 mph at times.
My eyes were the color of overcooked beets ( which is one of only a few vegetables I despise ) by the time I got home.
Sorry it took me so long to post Dale! I think I mentioned that I'm slow ...
