Those are just way too much for me. Manhattans too. My mom liked Manhattans. DH and I were out one night for dinner, we'd walked to the restaurant from our hotel, so we didn't have to worry about driving. Anyhoodles, I told him my mom liked them and I'd never tried one, and asked what was in it.....he said...ummmmm liquor....LOL. I said, well yes, but what else? He said, no, that's pretty much it......maybe the fruit. I think there was a splash of something no liquor, but I can't remember now. I took one sip, he finished if for me.It ain't nasty! I'm a lightweight. I can't drink rum and ANYTHING. Only enjoyed rum the one night. Got horribly sick on rum & coke, can't even smell it to this day. That was over prob close to 30 years ago.
I'm pretty much one or two drinks, and that's it. Nice wine with dinner sometimes. A cold beer on a hot day (weekend). I do LOVE a REALLY good scotch. Had a few Jameson Irish Whiskey one night. I vaguely remember it being REALLY good.

My DH's favorite excuse is, well it was lonely....LOL! Some of it must have evaporated, yeah, that's it, it evaporated!!
