Back after 1am last nite loooonggg day. But it was fun. Out of 6 adult chaperones we were the only two left to come back wth the bus.
They did well - the judges were biased as usual to the schools that were closer. The ones that dropped everything and the ones with multiple drum majors that were not in sync got better scores but hey they march with those bands regularly. But our flawless performance only got an excellent :( I hate politics!!!

I've got a lot of catching up to do today. I'll be around. Phone in hand but not sure how well I'll be concentrating. I'll probably just stare at it :)

Hi Dale :)
As long as they had fun-and they did :)
I'm the only one awake. I had to let the dog out...
If I go back to bed. I won't be able to wake up in the morning.
Last night as we were putting the ponchos on stands to dry. The band director kept telling the kids see you tomorrow. It was almost 1 am :)

Apologizing in advance for such a long post:facepalm: I missed a lot of good stuff and just had to comment.
Went to church this morning...it was my motivation to get outta bed so that I wouldn't lay around til 11am. Lol!
Then I ran to the grocery store, the pharmacy, and to grab some flea & tick meds for the 4 legged kids. Darn...forgot to get Chloe more treats.
Then I came in & cleaned up a little & took Prince for a walk.
Now all errands & chores are done...I think:)

I am one of those who eat when I am not feeling good soooooooooo..... all I can think about right now is chili cheese fries. Stayed in tonight and didn't go out to eat with my dad. Didn't really know what I wanted to eat so my hubs just went to BurgerKing. First time I've had a Whopper in a long time and it was pretty good. Then I had to go and ruin it. Under no circumstances should you ever get on scales to weigh yourself after you have eaten a whopper. I hope it is not raining tomorrow because I predict a walk in my near future.

Back in 1998, I saved a little kitten under some bushes from being eaten by two dogs. Of course, being an animal person, I brought it home and took it to the vet. She was always a skittish cat but has been a very good cat. Loved to be brushed. She rarely came out if we had company but would always cuddle when we were alone. I knew she was not feeling well. I know the signs when they start drinking water heavily and losing weight. Well today she went to meet Jesus. I love my animals but I will never let them suffer. It is the one of the hardest things we have to do. My hubby took her because with the way I have been feeling lately, I just wasn't up to it. So bless him too.

Sorry I am writing a novel, but thank you for listening. It is nice to share both the good and bad times with kind people and for that I am grateful.

Everyone have a great Sunday. I know tomorrow will be better. If not... the next day. View attachment 263792

(the black and white one is the one I'm talking about, not the huge one)

I'm soooo sorry to hear about your adorable kitty. I know how tough it is to lose one of your 4 legged family members too. People always say...just get another one but just like people they can never be replaced. ((((((((HUGS))))))))

Today was our daughter's birthday, and day before yesterday thanks to our son's girlfriend we became grandparents again for the second time in a year (the daughter had her baby last September). Unfortunately the baby was 11 weeks premature, and in now going to be in an incubator until January, but so far he is doing ok, on oxygen but breathing on his own and is coming up to just about 2 pounds now.

Unfortunately as work has kept me tied up in the USA I have yet to meet either grandchild in London yet, though my wife has flown back over a couple of times and spent time with our granddaughter, who is now one and totally precocious.

Happy Birthday to your daughter & congrats on the new addition to your family! I hope you are able to find some time to visit soon! I'll be praying for the newest of the bunch as well. May God grant him good health & a long life. Please keep us posted.

    Not in person yet, no.

But here is the new grandkid, Dante

Hey GG! Sounds like you had a good time! I miss my old band days! I loved it! I didn't play an instrument though. I was the majorette captain. It was so much fun! We used to participate in the mardi gra parades and some of the parades down at Disney in Florida. I know what you mean about the bias though. Ugggh! But all that matters is that they had fun! That's a lesson we're trying to teach my youngest niece now who's playing volleyball & basketball. They didn't win the volleyball game this week and she's a sensitive thing so she takes everything hard.

Right! Winning is not everything :)

I don't think my mom even believes I went 2 Sundays in a row. Hehehe!

LMBO! Chloe still has plenty but since I won't be off again til next Sunday I was just trying to make sure I didn't run out. I'll have to grab some tomorrow when I get off.

I always seem to miss him!
And I missed Angel yesterday too!:(
Have you heard from Stormy lately?

Oh and my friend Blondie asked me to pass this along. Her contest prizes are pretty awesome! I won one a while back if some of you remember me posting about it. Just post a comment with a Halloween pic. She'll pick a winner using the random number generator tomorrow.

Last I heard from Stormy she was in Philly

Yes she should! I'm sure she has some cool Halloween pics.
Ok. I hope everything's ok with her.
I need to drop in downstairs as well. I haven't seen our favorite kitty around either.

I love it when I am right. My second cup of coffee is just as wonderful as the first. I woke up with a sore throat and weird voice. I may have hyper-vap-alated last night. With everything going on I think I totally tooted to much. Will see how the day progresses. I have got to get moving. Every other Sunday is "cut hair Sunday". I cut my Dad's, hubby and son's. No talent there, a flat top and two buzz cuts. I have often threatened to buzz my own and have a "out to eat" wig. I stay at home most of the time. The older I get, the more I have to make myself leave the yard.

I still have 4 more cats so I'm not gonna go out and get another. I've asked people to stop thinking of me as foster care for the unloved. I will miss her but I find comfort in knowing I saved her life and gave her a good home for 15 yrs. I wish dogs have a cats longevity. And then I have a big bird that hates me that I will have to leave to my son. View attachment 264072 They live 50-70 years. This bird has a good memory and carry a grudge. Just hates me and I'm the one that feeds it. Oh well, Ya'll have a wonderful day and thanks for reading my ramblings. :)

Ya'll can call me anything you want. In another thread they call me R2C2, but that always makes me feel like Starwars. heehee Although I am really "out" there. heehee I answer to really anything.

Awww Rat2Chat2 :( Sorry about the sore throat, pooey!

I used to have to cut my son's hair too ... hated it:facepalm:

Gotten really bad about not wanting to leave home too ... even tho' I know I'd feel better if I got out more :)
I stopped calling you R2C2 for that very reason ... just doesn't feel right, like you said it sounds StarWar'sy.

    I can't see your bird :( Link don't work...

    Good afternoon all!!
R2C2, (((HUGS))) from me too. We always miss them, they are our family, but it sounds like you were a wonderful mommy!!
Chim, sounds like you've had a really productivcce day!! I'm working on it, but I am soooooo easily distracted.
So glad you started posting here, I was scared to jump in too. But there is a really good group here on the Lurker's thread. Probably some of the kindest people you will ever meet. ;)

BDUA, Congratulations on the new addition!! I will keep him in my prayers too!! Hope you get to see those babies across the pond soon too!!

Howdy Haze, sorry I missed you!!

Dale, you really slept in this morning! How about that!! Does DH come home today?? Were they in a camper or tent?? Kinda chill if they were in a tent. I know you're prob a bit warmer than us, but still and all, I'm sure the overnight temps there are a bit chilly at the very least.

GG, sorry they didn't get judged as they should've. That has got to be hard for them to accept, but I guess if they knew going in how things usually go, it probably wasn't a huge shock!

    Robin,....I know too!!

    There goes my dryer....BBL.

Hummm, I did come on kind of late didn't I  Didn't realize, guess I stayed up too late last night.

DH is home, got here about an hour ago ...little more:)
    They had camper's, and tent's, and his brother slept in his truck:facepalm: He's a little anti-social ;)
    It's been very cold at night the last two night's but DH said he was warm enough in his tent;
DD bought him a nice sleeping bag one year for really low temp's so I guess he had that.
