I also really like a stone called gaspite from Australia. It has a strange soft texture and brings about a feeling of calmness. It is green.

I knew you'd be into Healing Stones. :) Some folks poo poo that, but they'll poo poo lots of stuff. These stones aren't only beautiful, they each have unique properties.

I'll have to see if I can find them and send one. They have very little value and I brought a huge bunch of them! I nearly had heart failure every time I looked at a price tag over there until I remembered the rate of exchange... a blouse would be a 7 digit number and be less than $10.

Yeah ... that conversion thing would do me in I'm afraid

That's the kind of "weird" stuff I like, yeah! :)

Curiosity got the best of me... their rate hasn't improved much! My room was an awesome one, the bathroom had all marble, a Jacuzzi in it, all red velvet and heavy dark wood, a good breakfast... 9 days and my bill was like $230 including the internet! Crazy bad rate of exchange. today it is 1 Czech Republic Koruna equals 0.049 US Dollar so less than 1/2 a penny basically! The people there were very nice!

Yes, I feel the stones. I guess I always have, but so did my grandmother, and so does my youngest son, now his daughters too. When we wrecked the van the other night the oldest son knew it immediately and called. My husband used to try and tell me that was impossible but after almost 40 years with me he knows now that it is true... It doesn't disturb him any more, which is nice. It used to make him rather nervous. Then when the boys knew things that "they couldn't possibly know" he gave up and accepted the impossible.

I really like stones too, in the shape of beads. I have some rutilated quartz beads that are just beautiful!! I "admired" more than I actually "bought". Artist made lampwork beads were my real weakness, and (don't laugh), but Jasper beads were also among my favorites. There are so very many different colors, and varieties of the different Jaspers, that it just makes your head swim!! I always thought it was so interesting too that the gemstones we love in our jewelry have such humble beginnings.

Coins are fun too. We have some old ones, nothing of really any value, but very interesting just the same.

Jasper and calcite both have such pretty color choices too! I like them. My son's favorite is blue calcite. He is an artist. He also likes the jaspers that have pictures in it. Some of them are amazing looking!

Wouldn't that be almost 5 cents?

Oh, I doubt seriously if any of the coins I have are of any value ... I just like the looks.

Although dad did drill a hole in one of those that I got first at the Exxon station ... I carry it on my key chain to this day :)
It's pretty cool looking and about the size of a quarter.

A peso? Sounds like the right size. That is the same size as the horseman coin. Next time I run across them, I will keep one out to send. I think I have about 50 of them and they aren't worth more than a couple dollars if that! Bruce said he didn't think they would make good conchos, the metal is too soft... :( Oh well, it's the thought that counts!:)

It's funny and sad at the same time, that people can't understand that, just because it isn't "real" to them, that doesn't mean it isn't Real. I lived with a Mystic for years, and I learned a lot in that relationship!!! I was getting into my awakening before I met her, and found stones and crystals, and some things, and she helped with my awakening. I like to "feel" the stones, too, before I select one.

I don't think any of ours are of any real value. But they're fun to look thorugh. Have you collected all the new (well not "new" anymore) quarters, nickels, etc.?

eeeeeerrrrrr no ... I like home too much :)

My favorite travel quote is Mark Twain: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”

That is my excuse for all my traveling! I don't want to be a vegetable!

I used to know a woman who could "see" things. So much so that when there was a child murdered in the area several years ago, she offered to go walk around the area that she was found to see if she could help. She did go, and was able to tell them what she thought they should look for. A description of the man, his vehicle, things like that. Well, when they did find the man, and they did, he was half way across the US. They found physical evidence (blood & the child's clothing) in his vehicle. It was also a random thing, no ties to the child. Well, her info was so spot on, she ended up a suspect too. She said that the investigators really put her through the ringer, so much so that she didn't know if she would ever help again if a situation presented itself. Sad what can happen to those who are truly gifted that way.
