Kelli, that's what I thought I was doing wrong. I love flowers too, but I've gotten lazy about planting. I bought 4 big Salmon geraniums this year to put in urn type containers, and that's it. I usually did mixed plantings in them, and also a couple small hanging baskets, but I just haven't been able to get in the mood the last couple of years.

The garden looks great! Does planting in a cider block keep the vine borers at bay? We have a terrible time with those little pests.
