Hi Everyone !!!
(Did I forget anyone...sorry !)

I'm now even going to try to catch up with all the chit chat...no time for that.
Just wanted to let you know that I haven't left you...just very busy.

Our friend-Daleron PM'ed my with concern for my well being and whereabouts....:)
Busy DJ time, school is winding down in NH, summer job as toll booth operator has started and to top it all off...
Cousin I haven't seen in 45 years comes to visit and hike the long trail....so I'm the shuttle driver too !
So, haven't had much down time...and doesn't look promising for the next couple of weeks either.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm lurking quietly in the dining room.
Peace and Love to all my lurking friends !

I used to love to go to Savannah Beach, the water there is warm, nice and warm. Up here the North Atlantic is cold, year 'round. We would spend a couple of minutes at the most, in the water and then come out to warm up.

Cold doesn't even describe it. One August when I was about 10, we visited my godparents who lived on Monhegan Island, off the coast of Maine. My dad had taken me out in a little dingy to do some fishing. We were only about 50 yards from shore. It was very hot and the water was so crystal clear; the bottom looked so close when it was actually about 30 feet deep. Anyway, I had had enough fishing and told my dad I was going to swim ashore. He warned me the water was pretty cold, but I dived in anyway. I was literally stunned; came up gasping and daddy had to pull me into the boat. I have never in my life felt a shock like that.

Humid as all get out here today too, the next couple days look to be miserable. There is a reason my friends up north joke that I live in "St. Louis, Misery"

i honestly think the worst towns i have ever been in the summer are new orleans, memphis, and st. louis. all three are oppressive and stifling. much worse than anything i experienced in florida.
