    Hi again everyone!

Hello Angel, although I suspect you'll be gone before I get this typed out:laugh:

You know, I guess I've never heard how your situation came about. I saw you write that you were able to hear when you were born, but I don't know when you lost your hearing or the circumstances. If it's something you don't talk about, or wish to talk about, I completely understand.

Oh goodness child, did you miss the story when I told poor Charm all about it waaaaaaaaay back there?!
They discovered I had a hearing prob when I was age 2, got my first hearing aid at age 5, started using two sometime between 25 & 30, been pretty much downhill since. Any thing you want to know feel free to ask! I'm just full of info:laugh:

lol Lori, you sound like me. At least Sandi is keeping me company, she does love her momma so much, even if my 2 legged kids don't come around at least I have my furbaby ;)
Yup, Rita loves her moma too!! We call her velcro to my ankle.

No, no kids. I like kids, but I never had that maternal urge to have one. I know that's weird, and someday I may really regret it, but so far only slight regret, but nothing major. DH didn't want any. He said I could have one if I really wanted one...but I'd have to keep it on my side of the house.......:lol::lol: He likes kids too, he just didn't want any. He was afraid of the karma aspect, as in if what goes around comes around...he was a rotton kid........from the stories he/they tell.....:lol::lol: But lucky for me, he ended up pretty darn good. I'm lucky.

lol Lori, I think it's wonderful when people who don't really wanna have kids DO NOT have them, some call it selfish but I say to hell with what people say. It's your life and not theirs!!! My aunt didn't want to have kids either and my family thought she was being selfish. There are too damn many people who have kids who DON'T want them and look what happens. I wanted kids but now I don't lmao. Just kidding. I'm grateful for my kids and my grandkids, I just wish that at 25 and 28 they would GROW UP already. I'm tired of raising kids, I've been doing it for 28 years now and my DH gives them anything they want so they think he's just the bestest, I would tell them no and well....lol let's just say I'm not the bestest lmao!

Yes Charm, I do:) As a matter of fact I teach it at the local college here a couple of times a year. It's kind of hard to explain my particular problem. Some people I do very well with (verbably) Other's I don't have a clue:laugh: I've been hard of hearing all my life & worn hearing aids since age 5; however, when I hit age 30 everything went downhill in a big hurry! (example, I lost 10% in one year) As a told someone else earlier, in my teens & 20's I had a "comprehension of 98%, now it registers 0% . So ....if I can't see your mouth I can't understand you & some people I can't understand regardless! But I'm 52 now and fast approaching 53:laugh: and have developed quite an attitude about it all; if someone doesn't care enough to make the effort with me then "shrug" there's other's who will :) (it's called I'm through meno-pause & could care less what you think!)
And that was Waaaaaaaayyyy more than you wanted to know!

    Told you GG was sweet:wub:

I know that one too Kelli; and probably some you don't:rolleyes: ; not that I USE any of them!

    here ya' go Lori

I get the "selfish" argument, but for me, it was more that I felt overwhelmed regarding the responsibility of raising one. I saw how disrespectful some of the children were in my family, and just could not stomach it. I knew I'd prob have been in flipping jail if they were my kids...LOL. But seriously, and you know this because we're all around the same age. Silly now, but growing up during the Cold War era USA/Russia, I was always afraid of the nuclear war scenario, so that was why in my 20's, I never wanted any, just the uncertainty, and in my 20's I also had financial concerns. Then, in my 30's, the old reasons had fallen by the wayside, and I just felt a bit "old' to start then, now......in my 40's.......fagedaboudit!!!

Your reasons are yours Lori, whatever they are, they are what's best for you and I admire and respect you for your decisions ;) I didn't want to raise anymore kids either but my daughter got a divorce, was pregnant and of course they moved in with me...4 years ago and I'm still raising kids!!!! Ughhhhhhhhhhh
