I'm having to get more of that Magic Mouthwash & Lidocaine, yuck! Was soooo hoping I would be done with that Lidocaine by now It is so nasty! Is it normal for it to feel better one day then hurt again the next?!? Is it the scabbing sloughing off causing that???

Well to answer anyway, it's not as bad, but it does interfer with my ability to go to sleep sometime so I am still using it at night for that reason.

Scanning/sloughing can be painful yes
You could try ( if its not too painful) to just wipe the inside of your mouth with gauze. I'd put mm on the gauze. And make sure you are brushing/scraping your tongue to get the dead cells off.
Poor baby. I wish I could just make it better
