Okay, but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE....you and ANYONE who is riding MC's, or know anyone who rides. Please tell them to check their tires, and to REPLACE if bad. I saw a really nasty accident on the interstate near us last April. A husband and wife were riding, I don't know what kind, and they had a blow out at top speed. I guess it was really bad, I think that they both survived, but they were each air lifted out by helicopter. I grew up riding, roads (with mom & dad), and around the house/woods when growing up. (Honda 70/BLUE/with blinkers & everything...LOL) But sometimes people forget to check the tires or think they're ok.ALSO: You mentioned that you had thought about getting a BMW. I don't know what year/model it is, but my brother has an older BMW street bike. He bought it used over 20 years ago, he said it's the very most comfortable street bike to ride he's ever had, and he's been riding since the late 60's. He's had/ridden all sorts of street/woods bikes. He's even test ridden newer ones (not BMW's) but other makes, and thinks his old one is still better. Just thought I'd mention it. You might be able to find an older one for cheap.
