It's the little things that make weeding worthwhile.

Oh.......HOW AWESOME!!!!! I love, love, love bugs.....ok, not ON me......but to look at.......here are a couple of mine. Some sort of caterpillar and the other one is completely unknown, but it was making a really LOUD popping noise, if I remember correctly, and of course the BIG EYES aren't the real eyes, they're on his head. That is my DH's hand, yeah, he picks stuff up like that.....NASTY.

There are also a pair of Bald Eagles that are often seen by our house at the lake...aka...our old house...LOL!!
The pics aren't great, but I'd never seen any in real life, let alone 2, and was trying to not scare them and slip out of the house, etc.

Wow Elf, he's tiny!!! That's just too cool!!! I haven't seen one of them in a few years now. Thank you for posting!!!

When I was about 10, I found a cocoon. I brought it in the house and kept it in my room. I was convinced a beautiful butterfly would hatch out in my room.

    Nope.

A few weeks later, thousands of these little critters were crawling around one morning when I woke up. Ok, maybe not thousands, but hundreds at least

    I can't see your attachments :/

This big guy (or gal) was sitting in a tree that overhangs our garden...I waited until it was gone to go out there. Those birds are huge!!! and not very good tempered. We have a couple of nesting pairs in the woods to our east...we see them all the time and they've helped themselves to a few of our chickens over the years. I also had a Red Tailed Hawk snatch one of our wild mallards (when we had them) right out of the air.
