I have to figure out what is going on with her...she's (this is gross so cover your eyes if you are squeamish) eating her poop. I took her to the vet and he said she will eventually grow out of it, he gave me vitamins for her and I give them to her every single day but she's still doing it. She acts like she's trying to get rid of it. As soon as she goes on her pad, I clean it up, maybe she see's me cleaning it up and is trying to do that. I don't know, I just wish she would stop it.

She is 6 months old today :D She's just got bad aim, she always goes on her pad, I've tried to get her outside but she just won't do it.

Awwwh! Prince will be 2 on Friday. He's always gone pee pee on the pads but he never poops on them! Not even as a puppy! He'd always go right beside it so now we have to go outside for poop time! But otherwise he uses the pee pee pads. He has really bad aim too! Something about the edge of that pad! Half on the pad & half on the floor!! Get the holder! It's a life/floor saver! Lol

Our method involved having Saxon in our sight at all times and in his crate when he couldn't be supervised. Trips outside after naps, meals, playtime and/or one and a half hours. He was house trained by the time he was 12 weeks. He will still wake up the DH during the night sometimes, but for the most part sleeps through at this point.

There is something you can feed her, walmart has it in the pet section. It will make her poop taste vile (as if it wasn't already). Saxon had that issue, too. Accent, the meat tenderizer, works too.

Yep! Prince went through that too! It was well....yuck!!! Try mixing a little bit of canned pumpkin with her meal. The vet told me that it's something about them wanting their area to be clean or it could be something in there that he still finds yummy! The canned pumpkin is supposed to do something with the smell or taste I think that turns them off from eating it. It works! I took prince to the vet too & they said he was totally healthy but I think it's just a dog thing. Yuck!!

Tell me about it, it is completely gross and I won't let her lick my cheek or chin anymore because of it and she thinks I'm punishing her. I'm not but...ummm ewwwwwwww poop mouth lmao. I love this little girl, you just have no idea...oh yes you do, what was I thinking lol.

I love her dearly and I want to help her, I try to clean up after her immediately but sometimes she's quicker than I am and she starts chowing down.

I think we lost Deej lmao lmao Hey Deej, dogs eat kitty poop too lmao.

But seriously, I'm losing my mind, 6 months in and I can NOT get her to go outside.

It takes some time! Have you tried taking a soiled pee pee pad outside with you? I used a website for a lot of info. It's kinda like a forum & it has a ton of great info! I never let prince out of my sight too like Elf said! That meant countless trips outside! Nearly every hour in the beginning. The site is

Like sprinkle some on her food? Really? I read somewhere that pumpkin will also do that but I can't find it to save my life now. They say that dogs love the taste but will not eat their poo afterwards cause it tastes so vile!!! I have accent lol.

Get the 100% pure canned pumpkin (not the pumpkin pie filling) Libby's puts it out. Pumpkin is usually given to add fiber to their diets, not necessarily for coprophagia.

I've also heard that it can be something they pick up while still with their mommies, particularly if the breeder isn't diligent about keeping the whelping area clean. Having said that, our breeder was immaculate so I don't have a clue.

Yep! Mommy will eat the poops poo! Yuck!!!!
