Golly! That sounds familiar... :) Thanks for the greeting and for taking the time to post!

On a side note; I see by your (Identity badge?... {the box to the left of your post}) your membership level/status is "PV COLLECTOR." May I ask what that is?

I share your pain on juice cost. I am a fairly heavy i imagine at 20 - 25 ml daily and really cannot continue spending that amount of money. I have been perusing the DIY juice section here on ECF and hope to gain enough insight to be able to formulate some recipes that I can learn to like and get away from the commercial vendors. One post i was reading seemed to indicate that the poster was successful making his juice at around 0.04 per ml. That sounds very good to me. It takes time and careful preparation but, seems worth the effort to me. Good luck with your explorations.

I started DIYing my juices about a year ago and have never looked back since. Its really is so much better than going to over priced vendors. Plus you can custom mix PG/VG and nic to different attys and coils which gives you far greater vaping experience IMHO. Its not at all hard to do either.

When you are a supporting member, there are some perks that go along with being one. Creating your own title is on of those perks :)

4 cents/ml is really good. I'm currently producing at about 8 cents. I have been buying my supplies from the one B&M vendor that carries DIY supplies. I just found Wizard Labs which will allow me to cut my flavoring costs by 60%. :w00t:

If you are (like me) still in the beginning stages of educating yourself; I found a member here that explained methods in a way that made a great deal of sense to me. His screen name is Bill's Magic Vapor. I found his blog (https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/bills-magic-vapor.120202/) full of useful information for developing a methodical process to create repeatable results without using a ton of product. He also has a steeping philosophy (or more accurately... no steeping) which I find very persuasive. Perhaps you may find something of value as well.

I've found the easiest way to get into DIY, to see if you would like doing it, is to buy 100% VG from a pharmacy. You can also order PG.

You can then buy a 50/50 mix of regular e-liquid (high in nicotine) and dilute it with VG/PG. Sure it loses some of its flavour, but if you buy a 50/50 mix and split it into 4 bottles and top it off with VG/PG, you save a lot of money. Not quite as much as a real DIY, but you can see if you like it.

Thanks for the clarification. It also reminded me that I need to support those that have provided so much support to me. :) I found the link to member support and added my little part.

Again I thank you one and all! YOU ROCK!! :headbang:

Thanks so much for the link..It is a very useful method and the way I should proceed. Just starting the journey so it will be awhile for me but, I am optimistic. Best of luck with your own efforts.

*waves* from Arizona.

I search with the search bar first and I try to read "New Posts" everyday. But, when I feel like I want to shoot myself, I just ask.

Glad you are here! To me, this is a good thing.

I'm grinning silly right now; that sounds oh-so-familiar! Thanks for the warm welcome.

Funny you should describe this; It was basically how I got started. My primary B&M sells DIY supplies along with they're own line of house blended ready-to-vape juices. So I bought the house juice flavor I liked in the highest nic level they make, and then cut it down to my desired level. This didn't last long though because the flavors were WAY muted. So then I stated playing with adding flavoring. That only marginally helped. I found myself spending so much time fiddling around with less than satisfactory results. So then I downloaded a juice calculator and started mixing from scratch (while taking a lot of safety measures, hints, tips, and tricks from ECF) and have never looked back.
