Well just got the word they are finally letting me out of this place. So hopefully soon I'll at least feel like crap in more familiar surroundings. ...lol. Hope to be up for more chatting after i get home, just have had such a rotten time with migraines and nausea that even the light for cell screen hurt. Thankfully that part is over. Will give a heads up when I'm back situated at home.

You're a cruel, cruel man BobC...

Glad to see you made it back to the comfort of your own home DJ. Come to think of it, fluffy pillows don't sound half bad...;)

Well, almost feel a little more human after getting home, nice long hot shower and back sleeping in my comfy recliner. But OMG the pain is insane. It is already hard as can be just moving anything with the kind of pain I am in, but they messed up my left shoulder while I was in surgery (no idea, positioned me on it for too long or something). So that is making it 10 times harder to get around and function any currently, as I can barely raise my left hand without being in additional intense pain. If it wasn't for crap luck, I would have no luck at all. But they were very confident in my back repairs. The fusion had indeed never grown together, in fact the bone growth that did occur, did so in the wrong location pinching other nerves. So I am thankful all that seems to be working out well. Hopefully the pain will subside fast, as I seemed to remember last time, I was amazed at how quickly the pain diminished, especially by keeping those areas a little active.

I have greatly appreciated everyone's well wishes. It has been nice to catch up on everything. Got a long road left to travel, please just continue being wonderfully patient!

I certainly hope you don't think all that we are worried about is you getting back to work. Right now, we want you pain free and back to your normal self.

Thank you. With the exception of Bob, I believe it. I am finding even hard to type messages, my mind is just so overcome with pain right now. About all I can do right now is curl up on the couch (which take about 5 minutes of positioning) and just try to think of other thoughts till time for the next pill. Last years surgery hurt really bad, but Wow, this one has taken me to the next level and then some. Luckily I do remember you bounce back fairly quick. If I can just make it past a week... But my next major hurdle is eating. I still haven't eaten more than a piece of fruit or some pudding since last Tuesday after I had the drug reaction that really put me down hard. I'm trying, little by little. Maybe I will loose a little weight, lol, but not the recommended way of doing so. Weird part is I am not even hungry, even though it's been 4 days. Really all I had was half a sub on Tuesday morning. So a little worried about my appetite or lack of one. Hopefully it will kick back in soon.

Staying positive, I have noticed my legs don't seem to have any of the tingles or electric jolts and feel strong as ever. Not really best topics for forums, but another issue that has plagued me since the last surgery (which I always thought was directly related due to nerve impingements), urinary tract is better than ever. The doc stated I had a ton of pinched nerves down there and I should see a lot of positive change. So definitely a few good signs. Long as the back pain goes away once the trauma pain has subsided, then I will be totally relieved.

It has meant more than anyone can know the support and caring from my ECF family.

Oh yes, I have had no issues with sprite, ginger ale, OJ and apple juice. Thankfully I have been able to consume those or I would really be in rough shape.

That's great as staying hydrated is very important as you well know. Was in a similar appetite situation once myself and found that hot broth helped with my cravings for food even though I couldn't eat.
