I don't even put a hoodie on unless it's below 40! My MIL will have 3 layers on and I'm in a t-shirt complaining that it's too hot in the house
That's how I am too. I look for the thinnest material on my shirts too. I had the air conditioner on a couple days ago when it got up to 60. It's whatever climate your used to. When I see the Mexicans up here they have big overcoats on when it's 60.

Some people like to use a syringe on the screw hole, me, I top fill. Pop the drip tip off, loosen screw slightly, slide carto down until the top of it is below the top seal. Hold the tank at a slight angle, tissue on the bottom of the carto, pour liquid in at the top. Slide the carto back up, reattach drip tip, tighten screw. Blow through the drip tip to remove any excess eliquid in the carto, and wipe the connector.

I top off once a day at work, once early evening, then just before I go to sleep. Carrying even a needle-less syringe just to refill isn't for me, I use a little 6ml dropper bottle of eliquid. Total time to top off is about a minute, from unscrewing the tank to putting it back on. Orings are still good, I've been using the same tank since they first came out, no problem replacing the rings whenever they do go bad, they've given me good service.

Ah! I don't like carrying a syringe either. I have a couple of other "cheap" tanks that I move the carto to fill it. But, don't trust putting them in my pocket. Maybe with the port screw to hold the carto, it is sturdy/pocket safe? :)

Thanks all!! I'll check it out when I get to a real puter!!

I carry mine in my pocket ALL the time , never had a failure , I use what I sell and test it as well so we KNOW that it works.

OK, I'm one of those new newbies that DID pull the trigger before knowing the basics of how to use this tank.. I had heard SO MANY awesome reviews that I just went ahead and bought it (with the repair kit). But here's the thing.. I need a no-frills dummy run-down of how to attach my M1A1 to my Riva/Boge 2.0 set-up. I see the M1a1 has no screw end cap. How does it attach? How does the liquid get from the tank to the carto (I've heard unlike the Chiba, you don't have to drill this tank....? SO.. any takers?:)

Wel,, I drilled a small hole in a carto ( I use an old unit so I wouldn't ruin a new carto). The carto flooded like crazy and I felt like I was sucking juice up through a straw! The hole wasn;t even that big! I'm a jeweler, so I have acces to ALL drill sizes... drills for hair-thin saw blades to larger drills. The small drills wouldn't pierce through, so I used about a 1mm or less drill hole. SO obviously, I did something VERY wrong.

You need to just pierce the carto steel shell, make sure you don't punch all the way through to the central air tube.

Many people use a self-piercing 1/4" saddle valve (plumbing section at a hardware store -- used for small volume water feeds like humidifiers or ice makers), myself I use a Dremel rotary tool with a tube-cutting wheel. Hole gets cut about 1/3" up from the bottom of the carto. I end up with about a 1/8" high by 1/3" wide hole. My eliquid is about 30% VG, but has significant PGA content due to the flavorings I use, so it is pretty thin, seems to run fine.

Both the bottom cap and the top cap have orings which should grip the carto tightly -- you actually need to wet them and/or the carto top slightly, to make it easier to slide the carto up.

For filling, either unscrew the side locking screw and fill with a syringe, else top fill. For a top fill you loosen the screw, slide the carto down so the top is a bit below the top cap. Hold the tank at a slight angle and just pour or drip eliquid in to fill the tank. When done filling, slide the carto back up so the top comes out of the top cap, and set the side locking screw (not too tight, it just needs to contact the carto). Attach drip tip, blow through it with a tissue held below the carto bottom, to catch any excess eliquid. Wipe the carto connector with the tissue, reattach. Takes about 1 minute to top fill after you have done it a few times.
