Hi All,
Well I made the leap and ordered my ProVari this past weekend and it is due here tomorrow so now I have a ton of questions. I also ordered two tanks from Mon and Pop Vapor Shop. I got one with the Boge 3.0 carto and the other one is the SmokTech 1.7 carto. I have only been vaping acouple of months and have never used a vv pv or a tank for that matter. After all the reading I’ve done on this site I figured this is the best way to go and not have to buy every new thing that hits the market. Now for some questions.
Will both of these tanks work? Which carto will work the best? Where should I start my volt setting? I’m sure there are a thousand other things to ask but I know the great folks here will help steer me in the right direction

Both will work and its basically up to you to find out what you like, voltage wise, with each one. I have not tried LR cartomizers so I can't comment on those yet, I mainly have used the Boge 3.0 in my tanks and they work great.
Voltage settings for me depend on what I'am looking for in that moment. The default voltage when you get it is set to 4.0. I usually have it at 5.0 but sometimes go up to 5.6, but I also go down to 4.2 in the morning if I need less of a hit. You will see when you get it, its really easy and fun to jump around and see the different aspects of the juices @ different voltages.
That is one of the great things about the Provari, you can change it any way you like to suit what your looking for in a few pushes of the button.
I assume the 1.7 is a duel coil carto? If you just bought your provari you should have the v2 which will allow you to toast that thing pretty high up on the voltage scale to get the juice hot and hit like a champ. I still have yet to venture into the dcc world and will once I get the v2 later this month. Not sure on voltage settings for duel cartos or LR because I have yet to use any.
I was overwhelmed when I first got mine, I went to their website and read the instruction manual they have for DL. Its a pretty quick read and informative. I'am a hands on learner and had to tinker with it for a bit to get the hang of it. It is really easy once you got it in your hand, since getting into my hand it has never left lol.
The learning curve is pretty short if your into tinkering with gadgets.

Good luck and enjoy your new toy :toast:

I have used all types of cartos with the V2....The 1.5 to 1.7 dual coils work FANTASTIC at 4.2 to 4.5 volts....Eats up batteries with that combo though.....Nice warm th with lots of vape.....the V2 will cut out with that carto at around 5 volts but you wouldnt want it any higher than that....lol... at least I wouldn't......wish I would have bought the Provari sooner....could have saved lots of cash.....you are at the top of the game now.....As far as tanks, MOM+POP submarine big or little work great..get them here http://momandpopvaporshop.com/tanks/ side fill screw is the best....try them out...you won't regret it.....Good Luck.....

I've found the tobacco and bakery flavs do better at lower voltages(LR.)
And fruity type flavs do better a little higher voltage(SR.) YMMV.

Start low voltage (3.2-3.7) and work your way up a couple decimal
points at a time. When you get too high for the juice/carto combo the taste
will change for the worse(burntish/plasticy/icky). Then back off some.:2c:

On a single coil, I use +2 over the ohms. 1.7 ohm = 3.7 volts. 3.0 ohms = 5 volts as a start. this puts it close to 8 watts. My personal sweet spot. Little more or less to your taste. Unless you have a V1 and 1.5 dual coil cartos, the provari works awesome with any carto!

Wow, you vape quite a bit higher wattage than I do. I like 3 ohm cartos at 4.8 pretty much maximum, unless I've had a few adult beverages -- then I might hit 5V, but rarely. More commonly, I'm at 4.2-4.4V on a 3 ohm Boge.

I found that's my style as well. 4.8v is my sweet spot on a 3.0 ohm boge (seems I like 6-8 watt range depending on juice). Tobacco flavors in the 7 watts and sweeter flavors in the 6 watts range. When I drip to test flavors, using a 1.8 ohm atty, so my range is from 3.3 - 3.8 (sometimes try up to 4.2) volts max to keep in line with those wattages.

Beauty is we have a choice now on how and what works for us. :)

Sure wish it was quitting time already.

Um, Boss? I have to go. Back soon.

What, why?

I have an personal emergency that needs to be addressed.

Can it wait?

Maybe... nope. I can't get my work done anyhow while it's still unresolved, but trust me when I get back, I'll be in a much better mood... (as you sneak out the door). :rickroll:
