Made To Order Juice? Psst :-(

One month today, so I'm a newb, I get it. But I am already tired of made to order juice that has to steep for days, or weeks, before it's any count. Seriously, I am sitting here looking at 17 freakin bottles of juice and none of it is ready to vape. And if it is ready to vape then I have wasted a lot of money. And how do you know if its ready unless you put it in a tank, only to find out you should have waited longer?!?
The best juice I have found so far has come from local shops, with their higher prices, but at least you can open the bottle and go to town if you want to.
Can anyone offer suggestions of on-line vendors who's juice is ready to vape right out of the mailbox?

Maybe my expectations are just too high....:(

Nah, I agree that juice should be at minimum "VAPEABLE" as soon as I purchase it. Now, I do feel that some flavors get better with some age, but it should not taste or smell foul or anything like it when I get it.

I have three online vendors I am quite happy with right out of the mail box (of course, your tastes may vary):

In alphabetical order, not by preference, I like them all:

Ahlusion (look at the EXPRESS line, those are premixed, many are very steeped) https://www.ahlusion.us/

I had that same experience as a new vaper, pretty frustrating when you order stuff and have to wait so long while you have nothing to vape in the meantime. that's why i made this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-who-pre-steep-thread-when-you-cant-wait.html

also checkout this one http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...9-there-site-just-sells-you-steep-juices.html

My advise to you is go to 10ml Sample Pack - Good Life Vapor and get a sample pack, it's a great deal, it's flavorful right away. Code vapetv at checkout will give you a small discount, about $2.

Even pre-steeped juice will get better with age though, and once you have a little stock that you can vape right away, you won't mind the wait as much. also you can speed up the process some by uncapping and letting it air out for one day, then placing it in a warm place for another day (in a baggy in a crock pot of water set on low, in a box near your radiator, etc)
Always give your juice a good shake too prior to vaping. ;)

I just hope needing to steep is the problem. The first order I ever placed was for about $100.00 worth of on-sale juices from a well known vendor with a huge following. Turns out my tongue and their juices just don't mix. I steeped them for 3 months trying each one every month and they tasted just as awful each time. Then I jumped to a year and same thing. They never changed and are unvapable by not just myself but three other people I had try them during their "steep" time. That's why the phrase" taste is subjective" is probably the most often used one here at ECF.

I went through this too, but those 17 bottles will steep, and then you are good to go (unless it just sucks like you said, we don't know what you got) and then just stay ahead of the game. My first few weeks I bought local and vaped that until I got the rotation going. Now I have stuff that I know is ready just waiting on me because I am still going through last months order.

I do have a bit of juice I just didn't like no matter what and it will get donated at some point, but I went on a mad hunt for a good flavor so i was trying everything. Most stuff I get tired of pretty quick. I got a cinnamon bun from mbv and it tastes so good. but there are only so many cinnamon buns I want to taste. Several hours of tasting it just wasn't going to work.

Sorry, won't wash with me.

If I buy a car, I expect to drive it, not to have it sit in the garage for two weeks before I can take it for a spin.

But it's pretty academic for me. DIY mixing, a fair sized stash of flavours and bases makes sure that there's always something vapeable around.

I agree, I expect a car to drive as soon as I buy it off the lot. However we aren't discussing cars.

It's the reason I pointed out we don't know what the OP purchased. If it is the cheaper stuff like I buy, prepare for a steep time. If it is the more expensive stuff, OP may have an issue to take up with the vendor.

I have Zeus Juice, Alternate Cig, High Desert Vape and Hat Trick Vapor. With the exception of the Zeus Juice, all were advertised on the daily GotSmok email that I receive. I researched the vendors before I ordered and all of them had received good reviews. I realize taste is subjective, but I want to be able to taste it when it comes, not wait for weeks! Anyway, thanks for the input. Someone had earlier suggested StrixElixirs. I just placed an order with them. We'll see...........
I love this forum! :)

I haven't tried most of those, but I haven't heard anything much bad about Zeus. One of the first places I ordered from was high desert vapes and that was months ago and sadly most of it still is lacking flavor for me -except for the tea flavor which was good right away.
Eventually i think I'll just doctor those up with some DIY flavor concentrates because they are nice enough just too weak.

A lot of people like strix elixers, haven't tried that either.

There's many vendors out there that sell premade juice but you won't have as many PG/VG options if you do it that way. Ahlusion's express line of liquids, Strixx Elixirs, Five Pawns, The Standard, anything Vape Revolution sells, anything Giant Vapes sells, anything Elevated Vaping sells, Halo, etc.

The draw about made to order juices is that you have more options to customize your product and taste it fresh as well as throughout the steeping process. It's the difference between buying off the rack or having something tailor made to fit. I personally keep a mix of the two around.

I personally used Halo juice for over a month and it was good right out of the box. I tried Mt. baker and didn't know about the steep time and got a sore throat from it out of the mailbox. Then I found PremiumEJuice!!!!
They are located in Louisville KY and all their juice, unless special order, is ready right out of the box. We went into their store front and was amazed at their selection of premade ready to vap juices. Now me and my wife won't buy from anyone else. The owner is a very knowledgeable guy, super friendly and knows how to treat people.
Check them out at premiumejuice.com

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that fruit flavored juices have a minimal steep time. I received an order from Hat Trick earlier this month from their 40% off sale and got the five pack sampler. I'm pretty new to vaping and haven't tried many fruit flavors that I like yet so I requested a good fruit vape for a free sample and they threw in a 6ml "Bazinga Sauce" which was one of my favorites and was totally vapeable out of the mailbox. The invoice sheet had a nice hand written note on it saying that the Zombie Grandma was a fresh batch and to let it steep "a few days", one good whiff and took their word for it and let it go for a week and a half and tried it the other day and it's great. The other flavors I got were a little more sweet and also needed a couple days steep time, I tried the "OurY4" right away and it was a bit bitter. A few days later and it was fantastic, I have a 30ml of that and Bazinga on the way to me now. Another flavor I didn't like right away was the "Queen Tira" (tiramisu) which had a taste similar to the smell of playdoh. I cracked that open yesterday and it's awesome, vanilla custard, coffee and a hint of cocoa (co-worker tonight said the smell reminded her of an unlit swisher sweet).

Another company I tried right off the bat was Vapor Chef, all his flavors he advertises as "vapeable straight from the mail". Most of which is true. Though the "Deep Thought" (sasafras tobacco) was really dry and harsh, gave it two weeks steep and it turned into root beer delicious-ness. All the other flavors I got were very tasty, peppermint pattie, fluffy cake, and PB Nom Noms.

To the OP, I hope you find a flavor that you like. I recommend getting sample packs from various vendors (you'll probably have better luck receiving something that is pre-steeped). As soon as you find something you like order a good sized bottle so it can mature. I know someone mentioned buying a car and not being able to drive it right away which is a pretty ridiculous analogy. We're talking multiple flavor ingredients that have an oxidation period before they can reach their intended potential. You wouldn't expect scotch fresh out of the still, or wine straight out of the barrel (no aging) to taste amazing would you? I've also gotten a few "dud" flavors that I doubt will ever turn into something I enjoy to vape. It's a lot of trial and error, which can be frustrating. You'll get through it though, have faith!

I buy most of my juices from Mt Baker, and they need to be steeped, My son (a long time vaper) told me about speed steeping.

put dry rice in a microwave safe container enough to come up to bottle almost to the top, but not cover it or as far as the cap. Heat the rice only in the microwave till it's about 200 f. set on the counter, remove cap and tip from bottle, push down into the rice and leave till cool. Recap the bottle and shake well. For most everything it should be ready to go and if not quit you have at least speeded it up by a week or so. Be careful not to heat the rice over 230 f. most of these bottles are LDPE AND IT WILL MELT AT ABOUT 250 f. I use my infared thermo for cooking to check the temp. It seems to work great for me. Just remember once the ones you have are steeped any you really like you can re-order date it and then it'll be ready to go when the previous bottle is empty. My plan is to have three of everything I really like #1 using, #2 ready to go, and #3 steeping. I guess I'm cheap, but part of what attracted me to vaping is the fact that it's much cheaper than smoking so if I can save money by having to steep I'll do it.
