I bought the madvapes vv box (the one without the voltmeter) for a "backup" device but I use it more than anything else. I absolutely love it! I've got a seperate voltmeter (from madvapes) and did some testing... this little thing holds it's voltage steady till the batts need charging. It also holds it's voltage very well underload. I am very very impressed with it. I've had mine a little over a month and hope it lasts at least 6 months. To everyone who already uses 3.7 box mods and already has a bunch of 14500 batts.. this is a wonderful device to have! It's much more comfortable to hold and use than my tube mods. I am careful to use only protected batts.. not the aw imr 14500s that have no protection. It works great with dc cartos.

I bought one from the first batch that came out. It's still working but I had to perform surgery on it and replaced the switch a while back. I guess I've had it for about 8 months or so. I don't use it as my primary rig but more to have a second flavor ready to go. I'm using up my HV atty's on it and it's more than paid for itself since I had a bunch on hand that I couldn't use on my other mods.

I've had mine since October. I love it!! It still hits hard.. I use 2.0 duals set at 4.8- 5.2, and the vapor is thick, like smoke..

Just got my MV vv mod with display about a week ago, and also love it!

Batteries lasted me from 7 am until around 1 pm, the following day!

Not too shabby!

A others have mentioned, maintains volt level until batteries are about to die.

Great device for a ridiculously reasonable price.

It's a good mod for the price, and I used mine off and on for awhile. The problem I had with it is that the regulator is too inefficient. Whenever you hit the button, you're drawing full load from both batteries @ 7.4 volts, and the regulator converts excess voltage to heat. This causes the regulator to get very hot very fast, reducing its lifespan and the overall longevity of your batteries.

But for $35 it's a great intro into the modding world as well as the VV world.

Had mine for a while now and it has performed very well. Bought it on the fly for my first VV mod and it hasn't really disappointed me with the range of voltages it has. Although, it doesn't have an evercool chip in it. So, it gets pretty warm if you try to chainvape. So, what I've noticed goes along with what Dirgon has just mentioned. Also, it has a 2.5 amp chip in it which can or can not be a problem for some DCC fans out there.

Had mine for about three weeks and its my primary pv. Good value VV Mod
.

How is the battery life for you? What voltage are you mostly using?
Sorry for the questions I'm thinking of ordering either a VV or 5 v box mod in the next few days or weeks and would love to hear more if you don't mind.

Sorry to be dumb here guys but I can't find this answer. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places.

Exactly what kind of batteries does this MOD take?

Thanks

*EDIT* Disregard question above everyone. Figures, no sooner did I post this than I found the answer. I read it takes (2) 14500 900 mah batteries. I'm assuming that's correct.

It doesn't matter if they're the 900 mah rated batt's. I use several different brands and mah rated sets in mine. The AW IMR 600 mah batt's seem to perform the best for me. A fully charged set only lasts me 1/2 a day though.

Ok this is confusing to me are you saying that 600 and 900 mAh batteries last the same?

I'm not sure why the 600 mAh would perform better than the 900 ?

Because they are high drain IMR batteries instead of li-on. Protected li-on batteries tend to trip their circuit and shut down your mod especially when using standard 1.5 ohm dual coils. My trustfires start tripping around ~4.3v with a standard dual coil - my ultrafires start tripping around ~4.6v - my AW IMR's will run a dual coil at the highest voltage setting (far too hot, but they don't shut down).

There is a lot of information regarding IMR batteries vs Li-On batteries to be found on ECF. The search box will lead you to scores of threads on the topic.
