Si I got my magma in the mail today, and thus far it is rather disappointing. Built my usual .2 duals and am getting less flavor than I was out of my mutation x. I'm not ready to give up after one build, but would like to know if anyone has any pointers on how to best build this little guy to get some good flavor. Outside of the muted flavor i'm experiencing, I really like this atty.

I just recently went through several reviews on the Magma and the over all impression I have from them is that the Magma is more a flavor atty than for cloud chasing. Builds at .6 to 1.2 should work better for it, or else drill out the air holes a little.
I wound up going with the Veritas as it was reported to be more leak resistant than the Magma, and I'm up to 1.3 ohms with it. 7 wraps on 1.6mm screwdriver, 28 ga. Flavor is almost too intense at tight airflow settings but I can always open it up a little to smooth it out a little.
If you have any 29 or 30 gauge, I'd suggest trying around .8 ohm, 1.6 to 2.0 mm diameter.
Someone that actually owns one may be able to give you some better advice, but if you want to stick to .2 ohms, I'm thinking you'll need to drill that sucker lol.

Try this one...what wick r u using? Flavorwise, magma kills all my other attys. .2 is too hot. Put a .8 on it.
I do 8 to 10 wraps 28ga around a 5/64 bit with it which gets in the 1.2 - 1.5 ohm range and it's a flavor beast. As others have said it's not a cloud chaser atty and lower ohms just get to hot to let the flavor come through, I've tried it down to .8 and that's to hot for me.
I love the way mine performs with a dual 7/8 wrap around a 7/64'' bit with 24awg A1, comes in at .38. On the middle afc setting flavor is intense and vapor is dense, and good clouds when she's opened up. Whenever I put chimney coils in it flavor goes up but vapor goes down, and it starts leaking like nobody's business.
I don't think I liked any atomizer the first week or so when I receive it. It took me a several builds until I got the magma right and now it is my favorite. I run single coil 24g 8 wraps at around .5 ohm. Best flavor of any RDA I've own/used, including Veritas, Plume Veil and Lancia.
I do dual 28 ga twisted kanthal at 5/6 wraps each. I use a wire coat hanger for my dowel to wrap on and it's the beast!

Yeah, this one does better with a higher resistance build. And I prefer the performance of a single coil on it. Right now I have a twisted 30 gauge, 2.4mm ID. 0.8 ohm. I think that was 5 wraps. My favorite build yet.
That has to be one of the cleanest wraps ever !

Can't be certain but it looks like a 28g parallel. Definitely parallel you can see the second to last wire going into the post. Edit: Looks 27 or 28g considering he's going higher ohms

Do you have the coil/s positioned directly over the airholes?
My first build, my coil was too high up, and as soon as I pressed it down closer to the hole, it's like it woke up.
I also have a veritas; for some reason, I find my veritas sometimes tastes better; maybe it's because the magma has plastic down in the well; or maybe it's because my veritas has either rust of some coppery metal that contributes to the flavor
Yeah, about an 1/8in off the holes. Have a .4 on it now, gonna rebuild it when I get home around a .6-7 and see how that does.
Maybe it's something to do with the air hole ring; you can adjust it so that both holes are open, or another way, it will have one hole open but the other side closed for single coil operation.
Put it down and watch a Few Build Videos on Youtube.

26g parallel here. As recommended, aim for around the .6 - .8 mark.

It really didn't get hit, even with the .2 build.... That being said, I do have some 26ga around here. About to re-coil it with that and see what happens
I don't like my magma or the lemo tank. I just don't enjoy upper airflow. Side airflow is smoother, and the flavor is just as good for me.
