The mods are almost finished. But im running into some roadblocks. I modify the springs and it helps the resetting issues, but those issues are still somewhat present. I was re-reading through all the specs on the DNA30 and it says the discharge rate for the battery is 12amp minimum. When Brandon and I initially spoke before the spec sheet was on the evolv website he said 10amp discharge was the minimum. I think this was changed because the "resetting problem" was so prevalent with 10a batteries. So it seems the batteries I have are all under-rated (and probably too old anyway). I need to pick up some Sony 30amp batts to see if the "spring fix" is actually a fix. The fix worked for SavageClouds, so im assuming that I am only seeing resets because my batteries are under-rated. The mod sale will have to wait till I can get proper batteries. There is a local vape shop here that carries 30amp batts, but they don't open till tuesday.

fm92872, I will wait till I get those batts before I know for sure your mod is fixed. But after fixing the spring it will hit in the 18-20w range for several second bursts without resetting. Although resets at those wattages with even a half dead battery is absolutely normal for the DNA30 as part of its protection.

SavageClouds, do you use 30a batts in your mod?

Matt I exclusively use 30 amp batteries in this mod and have no issues now.. Just to test your theory I popped in a mnke 20amp and have no issues.. When I put in my aw 7 amp I can not fire the device above 20 watts. So yes guys get you some 30a batteries..

I'm no expert but I like them. Plus they were highly recommended by a mod builder..

So made a battery test video hope this helps Matt and clarifies some things for others wondering about it. This is with the "spring fix"

Thanks for the vid man.

I will be picking up some Sonys on Tuesday and most likely selling the mods that day as well.

I'm a civilian contractor for the military overseas (former Marine), and I know how it goes. I do, however, keep my phone in the breakroom and check it often...well, if I'm not too busy fixing an aircraft.
