Does this mean that button top batteries are necessary, or will flat top's still work?
Flat top batteries will indeed work. I use flat top VTC4's and Efest 35A's and they work flawlessly.

How are you reverse polarity protecting the DNA30?
The PTC fuses act as reverse polarity protection. When a battery is inserted backwards there is a huge surge from the battery (which is what was causing the springs to collapse in previous mods) and the PTC fuses stop current. To reset the fuse all you have to do is take the battery out and put it in correctly

The evening before last I passed on the opportunity to purchase a new HOH ZNA30 in the brief time they were in stock with the hope of landing one of these as I can't afford both if that tells ya anything and the biggest compliment I can possibly give ya....

I'm willing to forego chasing one so that you get a chance to own one of these...they are beautiful! Besides...my wife would probably kill me if I decide to acquire another DNA30 box mod.

An amazing gesture on your part but I'd never dissuade another who was wanting to grab one for themself......I'll have another opportunity for a HOH in due time and I've owned a couple MCM's already......you just gonna have to find a good excuse to explain away your purchase to your better half....lol

I already have an MCM30 so that would prove to be QUITE difficult...on top of that, I don't think she would be receptive to my begging after purchasing 20 chips over the past month...lol
