How's the seal if you put a carto without the paper sticker in the derlin one? You mentioned that you would use stickerless either way. Did you use a stickerless carto at all yet in the derlin capped tank?

I wouldn't use one with a sticker at all. In fact, I find it strange that it would be provided that way... Having a paper sticker and glue soaking in my juice doesn't sound appealing to me.

Does the juice not eventually eat through the paper and sticky stuff on the stickered DC carto?

In about 2 days the sticker starts to degrade. I decided not to worry about it... turns out that was a mistake.

Also, after the sticker has soaked a while, it makes sliding the carto out a ways or back in unpredictable. It will hang up and using too much pressure trying to slide it out or in ends up creating mishaps and a mess of juice all over the place.

Remove the sticker if you get one that has it. If you don't have a drill press and need to punch your own cartos, it's a lot easier to start the drill bit with the sticker still on. But, it really should be peeled off afterwards. Glue removal can be accomplished with PGA fairly easily.

Something that I've discovered when using the DC Cartos is that when you punch/grind the hole for the juice to flow through, it may only be allowing the juice to hit 1 of the coils. I've grinded and regrinded my last carto that I run a pure VG flavor in, and get dry hits frequently. This may be due to the 2nd coil being above the slits.

Has anyone else experienced this?
