Not sure what you mean by 510 atty in this map tank? The map tank is 510 connection and using a CE2 wick style cartomizer... an atty in its place would simply flood and never work. Unless I'm not understanding? But you need a cartomizer in this case to provide wicking to the top coil of the CE2 carto

A CE2 is a cartomizer/atomizer combo. The ceramic pot holds the coil and wick, just like an atomizer, but the tube holds e juice like a cartomizer.

For the MAP tank to work, you either need to rely on the wicks from the CE2 or drip on the coil (yes, it still works that way). If it floods, just tip it to the side and take a few pulls to get it dried out.

Yeah but you would be reinventing the wheel. An atty with a high coil and wick is a cartomizer.. so if u go through all that, you'll end up with the same end result won't we? Unless you're saying a 510 atty is much much better than any carto but i would assume that would have been mentioned as a reason to do this.

Actually, that's not completely accurate. See the picture below...
CartovsCE2.jpg

The item on the left is a standard 510 cartomizer stripped bare. The coil is at the lower middle (close to the bottom) section of a normal cartomizer. It is wrapped in a "blanket" and filler (like fluval) which I've removed. There is a cloth air tube that I've also removed.

The item on the right is a stripped down CE2 with most of the wicks removed save for a small piece in the coils. This is the same basic principle as an atomizer without a bridge set up on a higher air tube. It is a cartomizer because when it is assembled, it holds e juice whereas an atomizer does not.

I.A. - I'm not sure if you're helping me prove my point, or going against my point.

I am talking about CE2, not the crappy 510 cartomizers on the left. You said its the same basic principle as an atomizer, which is my point....you don't need to have this work with an atomizer, when you have a perfectly great CE2 with wick to work the same. I'm not sure i'm understanding what you're trying to say. If you are saying it's the same concept as an atty, then why not just stick with a CE2, which already has the build/wicking/wiring in place for any MAP tank mod, or CE2 Clear mod? No need to request this to work with an atty, if we all agree it's the same principle as an atomizer.

Lets not discuss this on Bruces thread...sorry bruce! We went off topic here.

Also got mine today and it is cracked at the top. I hate to post this here because I know Bruce will make it right. It looks to me like the black delrin caps have an o-ring. If they just pop out and if I can get some of the clear tubing, I will just fix it my self. I ended up sealing the crack, doing a quick dry burn, filling it halfway using a blunt needle, and and vaping it. Mine vapes rather nice with the CE2 that is in it as I know they can be a little fickle sometimes. The crack is not leaking.

Edit: I would like to add that Bruce is absolutely taking care of me. Thanks man. You've won me as a regular customer.

Bruce already set me straight, great service..... Man i wish mine was in working order. It's cracked pretty badly it is cracked enough that I can see through the inside of the tube. How did you seal it?

I used CA glue (super glue, kinda worried about the liquid seeping the glue though). Mine just had a crack running down from the top. It cracked all the way through, so it would leak, but not past the top more then a few mm past were the delrin sits in the top. I also have to refrain from filling it all the way. Sucks that yours isn't usable, but it's great to know Bruce is gonna make it right. Once he does I believe you will really like this tank mod.
