Does anyone have a good youtube video with steps of removing the ce2 and cleaning the MAP tank? I'll post one below, but I don't know if that's the best way or not. Input?
Amy, no need to take it apart...just fill and you're good to go!

Here is my update with the Map Tank...... I love it.... After many tanks and using different oHms... I like the 2.4 best with the eGo battery... Still waiting for my GLV.... Using the eGo battery the 3.2 gunked up fast and after topping off the liquid three times the juice turned dark as coffee and lost it's vaping- taste was smooth and cool. The 2.8 was awesome... didn't gunk up as fast but I broke it after trying to pull out the E2 so I can't talk much about that one but, the taste and vaping of my juice was awesome. The 2.4 PERFECT with the eGo battery... Juice taste nice, vaping AWESOME with clouds of vapor. the 2.4 does not gunk up as fast - I can top it off 4 times before I feel like I need to clean it.
How I am cleaning the CE2 is - grab a coffee cup fill with water... bring to boil in microwave. I haven't figure out how to pull the CE2 out of the bottom stopper without destroying the CE2 so I leave it in. With the CE2 out of the tube and still attached to the bottom stopper I jiggle the wick and metal coil part in the very hot water. lightly scrub it ( the metal coil )with a fine tooth brush and jiggle it in the very hot water again. I then drop it in a dish of rubbing alcohol for a 3 minute soak. Scrub the coil again with a tooth brush till it looks like new again. I take it out and pat down the wicks with a napkin to dry them off. blow dry the plastic and metal with my mouth till alcohol has evaporated. Attach to battery, do a dry burn till coil turns red twice - blow to cool down.... Attach it all together and fill with liquid. AND I'M VAPING JUST LIKE IT IS NEW AGAIN.... This is working for me. I am using my all day vape juice with these Maps - 555 from vaporrenu which is already a tan juice!
All this in under 15 minutes... and with the Map I don't have to refill the cart every 10 minutes or so - I LOVE MY MAPS !!!
Let me know what you guys are doing... I'll take any advice on how to get the CE2 out of the bottom stopper.. I have destroyed 1 CE2 trying to take it out and have also pulled the top off my eGo passthrough battery when trying to pull it out. For now I'm leaving it attached until I have to replace the CE2 !!!!
I forgot to add --- I am experiencing no leaks with these either... Just make sure everything is attached right is my advice!!
Thanks Bruce - Now all I need is some mini maps !!
MAP works, disregard the confusion. My Lil' Chuck has stopped working.![]()
Kudos to Bruce at COV!!!
Here's the story:
I received in my MAP tank with a 2.4 CE2 and a 3.2 as a spare. I filled my MAP with juice and immediately got a bad leak. The CE2 was fully seated. The tank was not overfilled and continued to leak most of the juice out (into a collection tank)I took it all apart, cleaned it, and put in water the second time. Same bad leak.
I contacted Bruce via email to tell him about the problem. Next thing I know, I get an email from Bruce apologizing for the aggravation and asking me what oHm I'd like a replacement CE2 sent in. After I responded I then got an email telling me he had shipped me a replacement CE2, gaskets, and tank, aka "rebuild kit". Extremely quick emails and turnaround.
I was hesitant but I went ahead and replaced the bad CE2 with the spare I had ordered at the same time. Was a little gun shy due to the leak occurring "right out of the box" as it were. Absolutely no leaks, no issues whatsoever. Great taste and great vapor!
I have the MAP on my Provari and it's totally awesome. Seems the issue was a bad seal on the center pin at the connector which is why I posted earlier that I don't think you can push the center pin out and get it reseated/resealed properly. IMHO but I've been wrong before....once.
I've got 10 replacement CE2's at 2.5 oHm being delivered today. I now have total confidence in the MAP tank as a viable solution but more-so for Bruce as a vendor. Exactly the way I want to be treated by a vendor. Respectful, attentive, timely, not treated as a dummy because perhaps I did something wrong. I'm the kind of guy that actually reads the manual before using any piece of equipment. I lay everything out, check to make sure everything is there, not damaged, etc. Drives my wife and son crazy.![]()
