Amy, no need to take it apart...just fill and you're good to go!

just make sure your CE2 is fully seated into the bottom Delrin cap. Mine came inserted only about half way which was fine because I wanted to take it apart and look at it anyway.

Does anyone have a good youtube video with steps of removing the ce2 and cleaning the MAP tank? I'll post one below, but I don't know if that's the best way or not. Input?

This is a good tutorial if you want to replace the CE2 (as Chris states in the vid). Seems like pushing the center pin out through the top, to drain the juice out through the bottom, is easy enough but I don't think you'll get the center pin pushed back in properly to avoid leaks. Seems to me the factory seal is a one time shot. Maybe not, perhaps others with experience in this can add their input?

My question is this, when I seat the CE2 into the bottom Delrin cap, it takes a goodly amount of pressure to seat it. Definitely not doable with just finger pressure only. I had to seat the final bit by pushing down on the MAP tank onto a hard surface with some force.

Are others seeing that the CE2 fits tightly into the cap as I've described above?

Here is my update with the Map Tank...... I love it.... After many tanks and using different oHms... I like the 2.4 best with the eGo battery... Still waiting for my GLV.... Using the eGo battery the 3.2 gunked up fast and after topping off the liquid three times the juice turned dark as coffee and lost it's vaping- taste was smooth and cool. The 2.8 was awesome... didn't gunk up as fast but I broke it after trying to pull out the E2 so I can't talk much about that one but, the taste and vaping of my juice was awesome. The 2.4 PERFECT with the eGo battery... Juice taste nice, vaping AWESOME with clouds of vapor. the 2.4 does not gunk up as fast - I can top it off 4 times before I feel like I need to clean it.

How I am cleaning the CE2 is - grab a coffee cup fill with water... bring to boil in microwave. I haven't figure out how to pull the CE2 out of the bottom stopper without destroying the CE2 so I leave it in. With the CE2 out of the tube and still attached to the bottom stopper I jiggle the wick and metal coil part in the very hot water. lightly scrub it ( the metal coil )with a fine tooth brush and jiggle it in the very hot water again. I then drop it in a dish of rubbing alcohol for a 3 minute soak. Scrub the coil again with a tooth brush till it looks like new again. I take it out and pat down the wicks with a napkin to dry them off. blow dry the plastic and metal with my mouth till alcohol has evaporated. Attach to battery, do a dry burn till coil turns red twice - blow to cool down.... Attach it all together and fill with liquid. AND I'M VAPING JUST LIKE IT IS NEW AGAIN.... This is working for me. I am using my all day vape juice with these Maps - 555 from vaporrenu which is already a tan juice!
All this in under 15 minutes... and with the Map I don't have to refill the cart every 10 minutes or so - I LOVE MY MAPS !!!

Let me know what you guys are doing... I'll take any advice on how to get the CE2 out of the bottom stopper.. I have destroyed 1 CE2 trying to take it out and have also pulled the top off my eGo passthrough battery when trying to pull it out. For now I'm leaving it attached until I have to replace the CE2 !!!!

I forgot to add --- I am experiencing no leaks with these either... Just make sure everything is attached right is my advice!!

Thanks Bruce - Now all I need is some mini maps !!

I like this method and I'm going to try it when I do my first cleaning. You're right about leaving the CE2 in the bottom Delrin cap. Mine fit so tightly that the only they will come out is damaged.

Kudos to Bruce at COV!!!

Here's the story:
I received in my MAP tank with a 2.4 CE2 and a 3.2 as a spare. I filled my MAP with juice and immediately got a bad leak. The CE2 was fully seated. The tank was not overfilled and continued to leak most of the juice out (into a collection tank) :) I took it all apart, cleaned it, and put in water the second time. Same bad leak.

I contacted Bruce via email to tell him about the problem. Next thing I know, I get an email from Bruce apologizing for the aggravation and asking me what oHm I'd like a replacement CE2 sent in. After I responded I then got an email telling me he had shipped me a replacement CE2, gaskets, and tank, aka "rebuild kit". Extremely quick emails and turnaround.

I was hesitant but I went ahead and replaced the bad CE2 with the spare I had ordered at the same time. Was a little gun shy due to the leak occurring "right out of the box" as it were. Absolutely no leaks, no issues whatsoever. Great taste and great vapor!

I have the MAP on my Provari and it's totally awesome. Seems the issue was a bad seal on the center pin at the connector which is why I posted earlier that I don't think you can push the center pin out and get it reseated/resealed properly. IMHO but I've been wrong before....once. :)

I've got 10 replacement CE2's at 2.5 oHm being delivered today. I now have total confidence in the MAP tank as a viable solution but more-so for Bruce as a vendor. Exactly the way I want to be treated by a vendor. Respectful, attentive, timely, not treated as a dummy because perhaps I did something wrong. I'm the kind of guy that actually reads the manual before using any piece of equipment. I lay everything out, check to make sure everything is there, not damaged, etc. I then search Youtube or other such sites to see if I can watch any applicable videos before I turn anything on. Drives my wife and son crazy. :)

yeah repent. I dont like moving the center pin either. it is very hard to reseat correctly and thats where leaks occur. glad you go yours going again with the new cr2s.

My order came in today !!!!! HURRAY !!!!! I have 3 maps total now to share with my friends when they visit..... I have a question for anyone familiar with the CE2's ... I had ordered some extra CE2's to cut for my maps.
1... 510 E2 XL Cartomizer - Ceramic -Black v4 2.5 ohm.... Bruce had crossed out the black and gave me steel
2... KR808 XL E2 Cartomizer - Steel Ceramic v4 2.5 ohm

The only way to tell the difference for me because I am new to this is: The silver box " Vaporizer" says 510 on the side which tells me these are the 510 E2 XL and the a black box " Royal smokers says 808D Xl on the side which tells me these are the Kr808's.

The Kr808's measure close to 2 inches and are individually wrapped. The 510's E2's measure 1 1/2 inches and are package together like gum or pills would be wrapped so I can pop one out of the package to keep the others fresh. No where on the 510's does it say XL on the package or on the Carts...and they do look a lot smaller than the XL Kr808's. Did I receive a wrong order? Did I order the wrong ones? Or Maybe these are right and they just look small. I need some help before I open one of these 510's to cut for the Map!!

Thanks for any help.. Any one else out there cutting the E2's themselves for the Maps? What are you using - And If so how long do the 510'2 XL measure before cutting..
Thanks
Dan

Don't bother cutting them before removing the case. Screw them into an Ego battery and bend gently back and forth until you start to feel them give way and then slowly bend back and forth some more and then wiggle the case off. They are only pressed on with a crimp. Now if you want to cut the case, its much easier and less risky without the carto inside. Cut your 1/2" piece and place it back on the carto. I will say that I don't even bother with the cut piece anymore. I tried it without for a few times and it didn't leak, so I stopped cutting them.

I have boiled water in microwave in a coffee cup. Soak the tip in the boild water.... Lightly... lightly ....... lightly scrub the coils with a tooth brush....dry it....... then dry burn.... then I soak in rubbing alcohol... lightly..... lightly...... lightly scrub coil.... dry burn ... soak in alcohol...... and air dry..... I'm not a pro, been vaping under 6 months, but after reading lots of ways - This has worked for me and my E2's are as good as new and I can use them within the day because the rubbing alcohol evaporates faster than water!!!
