Couple questions abut them.

1. Can they "break"? I mean like to the point they are not able to be salvaged. VV and VW I can see failing on a electronic standpoint.

2. Is there a delivery system better suited for mechanical PVs in terms of tanks, attys etc?

3. Are there any decent mid-range mechanical mods out there? I would like to own a Caravela someday, but would like a cheaper one I can experiment on.

I apologize if this is in the wrong place. And, as always, thank you in advance.

I can answer a couple of your questions... Anything can break, but a mech is pretty durable. Your right on about the electronics. There's no wires to short out. You might snap the bottom spring, but all in all, you don't have to worry about it breaking. If your looking for a mod range mech, check out the Legacy Mini. I know E-Six vapors has a couple in stock. They run right under a $100.

Some folks can brake an anvil, so I suppose a mechanical mod can be broken. But, it's tough to do.

This was my first mechanical mod (a Mako), cost $75
It's almost 2 years old, and still haven't managed to brake it.

I'll toss in another vote for the Natural. It's my first mechanical (I like to try the less expensive, but not "cheap" stuff first) and it's great. I paid around $55, and carry it in my pocket every single day, and don't have to worry. I don't have to worry about breaking it (nearly indestructible) and I don't have to worry about scratching it, denting it, dropping it, because I didn't drop some ridiculous amount of money on it. Is it the best out there? No, of course not. But I don't like worrying about getting a scratch on my PV.

To answer the one question no one else has, "what works best on a mechanical?" I'll say this. Anything will work on a mechanical. Tanks, clearos, drippers etc. It's the same as any other battery, except that it only delivers the voltage that is available at the battery (unless you use a kick, but that's another topic). With that said, the best devices are typically lower resistance, as you're never going to get more than 4.2 volts. Most people running mechanicals are doing so with rebuildable atomizers, as you can tailor the resistance to your liking. That's all I run on mine personally, and I think you'll find the same is true for many other mechanical mod owners.
