Another vote for the Legacy. If you go ahead and get the batteries and charger you shouldn't have to pay a shipping charge. Most of the time I get my batteries from RTD vapors. When I figured it all out, it was just as easy to order everything from Puresmoker.

When I got my Legacy 18650 I went ahead and got the mini tube and also the extension tube. After a few days, I went ahead and ordered the parts to turn all the extra tubes into another Legacy. Works really well and build is really nice.

Telescope is not mechanical.... It actually has wires.

Sent from the ether using the power of my mind... and the Tapatalk app.

Which telescope?

Natural has no wires, tec mod has no wires, GGTS no wires, Gus Tele has no wires, EA has no wires, smoke tele has no wires etc

how do you adjust your vaping as the battery wears down?

No need... throw in a fresh batt... you have to have backups.
I recharge 3 18650's a day and vape all day and eve.
I know this is not the question, but heck as you know, no one is going to shift to another atomizer with a different resistance as the batt wears down.

OP ...
the great thing imo, and reason there is a huge upswing in interest in mechanicals is that there is no electronic regulation (amp limiter) so you can go as low resistance as you want, which is the new wave; under 1.0 Ohms on a Genesis atomizer, and some are using super low with silica wick RBA's too.

1. the ideal is to get a device that has better conductivity in the contacts (brass)
2. you need to use IMR batts for SLR (super low)

Mechanical mods are fickle beasts: each mechanical mod has it's own quirky personality, meaning - it's not just drop the bat in and screw the end cap on press fire and go (although some are that easy :)) Even the most sought after Caravela, takes a little more than just that even with swapping out the same brand of battery (center post screws need slight adjustment). That said here are the 3 questions answered:

In general mechanical mods are more "sturdy" although, some are plastic / thin metal / poor threading / and cheap. in general if it's under $30 it will have more problems down the road.

Best delivery device: simple - any RBA. The main drive for a mechanical mod is the ability to build your coil and wick to match your vaping style, which in the long run most people interested in long term vaping realize. VW/VV devices wont allow for you to try or use 1.0 ohm or lower resistance consistently. Some see the 3.7 volt limit as a problem, wrongly thinking more volts will make a better vape with higher resistance, but the reality is lower resistance can open gateways into a much greater and more powerful vape and 3.7 volts is more than enough to open that doorway, not to mention multiple batteries and 5v+ on sub 1 ohm - that's the extreme, and potentially dangerous, but again, this is why one goes mechanical.

I think the biggest reason mechanical mods rock is the art work in how they look. So much more is expressed in high end mechanical mods than I can even begin to express.. My thought is if you love to vape, eventually you will have no choice but to find the mechanical mod that best expresses you at some point in the future. I often wonder why the circuit based mods aren't as interested in this (in general) even the Provari is lacking in the aesthetics (I thought v2.5 was even more lackluster than v2.0)... All said, if you are into vaping for the long haul, you should look into the high end mechanical mods even if that means waiting a long time to grab one..

Which telescope?

Just an FYI: The Smok Telescope does have a wire in the top cap for the connector, and a undergauged wire which is usually the problem with this mech.,other than the switch.
This is where i stumbled onto the smok telescope not being fully mech. Smok tech telescope mod power head tear down how to - YouTube .

I'm kinda laughing because no one has mentioned the REO, the most successful mechanical mod ever made. It has out sold all other mechanical mods combined.

They are usually out of stock which i think is why they are not mentioned??I can't wait for my ELA to ship and see how well the sells take off with the newest mech??

Smok does in fact have wires, running to the 510 connection... short wires, but wires none the less

Smok tech telescope mod power head tear down how to - YouTube

As I said... It's not Mechanical, it's unregulated, like a Bolt

Ok. I didn't know which telescope was being referred to as the two posts just said telescope. As for the Smok tele, is the no wires version v2 or something else? I was under the impression the newest version has no wires. God only knows what people are actually selling though.

Not that I am planning on getting one, but it's probably good info.
