Seems I won't be getting the kit anymore. My Reo took a nasty drop while I was going down the car. The mod dropped atty first so the RM2 installed on it is now bent at an angle. I couldn't get it out of the 510 screws now so a rebuild is getting unlikely at this point. I was originally planning to get a retrofit kit for the new contacts plus an extra Reo.

The good news is that it still works! These things are robust little tanks. So I'll be vaping on this until the new version comes out. In the meantime, I'm browsing the site for some nice color combinations. The delay isn't so bad for me now since it gives me time to decide. :D

I'm pretty sure he could. But because of where I live, it will be more economical for me to simply get a new mod than send one back and forth due to shipping costs. When I get my new Reo, I'll probably try to fix this one myself. I just don't want to risk breaking it without a back-up Reo on hand.

Sounds like a smart plan.

Since sending it back would be out of the question for you. I would hit up rob when you are ready to get your new reo. Then ask if you can buy a 510 connection for the reo. When I first got my two the 510 wasnt pressed in properly. Its only press fit though. So since warranty wouldn't matter press it out yourself and press a new one in.

ok, haven't really used my REO since i got it, i got better mods atm. What can i do to get my reo to fire between .2-.3 ohms? I know you all love your REOs and if I vaped like you do, i could see loving mine too. Function wise its a great device, but its like vaping on a regular ego battery to me. I would rather vape a mech or my DNA30. I see all these DIY upgrades, do they work? and can a idiot do it? Pretty sure I fall into the idiot category.

All you really need is a dual coil set up in whatever bf atty you have. I run a .25-.30 ohm dual coil on my mechs and a .55 dual coil on my era with the reo. The reo is stock and it performs pretty well. I only have one air hole in the era, just built the coils on top of each other like an equal sign =

My modded reos are my best performer mechs, .4 v drop on a .4 dual coil (measure 3.75 on a fewh vt4 sony)

But you need to be handy and understand what you are doing. Otherwise just wait for the sub ohm kit.

Yes they work, the Mundy version of the Fuse is what I run, If you can use basic tools you can do it. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/472662-spring-what-spring.html

can an idiot do it?

not this one... i get cross-eyed when you talk about anything technical. i'll bet if there was a video i'd have a better chance, but give it a shot on the "Spring... what Spring" thread.

Pdib set my LP Grand up for me and it is freeeking awesome... period.

My other Grand is waiting for "the Kit".

I have an RM2 and .40 ohms is best imo... not too too hot and certainly not too tame. The resistance goes up after a bit of use too. but .4 gets you that INSTANT GRATIFICATION... zippidy.

I just ordered the Origen V2 with b/f kit btw... oooh

Thanks for all the replies everyone, Im gonna have to try the = dual coil style, sounds quite interesting.

on safety:
Ive been vaping for about 6 months and spent a good week studying everything I could about sub ohm safety, I only use Sony vt4's and now the new efest 35 amp. I use an ohm meter for my builds along with a ohms law program to know exactly how many amps im pulling from the battery. And just to be sure, if atty has been knocked around or in my pocket, i check ohms again to make sure nothing has changed before I vape on it.

I hope everyone knows i was kidding on selling it :) Why would anyone ever sell their REO!

Im gonna try some of these coil recommendations today. Off to charge some batteries ^^

ahh... talked to teh wife today and she says "just order it papi"... man considering i've been reading threads about S/O's having problem with vaping habits I definitely consider myself lucky. Now I just need to get lucky enough and wait for the new and improved kits and such to be available. Waiting is so hard!

Side note, I saw the vid on the chalice but other than that and the reomizer not sure what RBA's I could use with the bottom feeding feature on reo's... trying to stalk the forums here to learn much more before placing my order hehe. Can't wait to squonk away!
