And before this gets out of hand...

DO NOT POLISH, FILE, OR USE CORROSIVE/ABRASIVE CLEANERS ON YOUR CONTACTS.

I'm just picking on Rob. He has commented more than once that he hates polishing metal Reo bodies, and the thought of him polishing tiny little strips of metal and battery springs amuses me. I'm kind of twisted.

Carry on.
Typical Tripp always gnawing on me . I painted little pony's and rainbows on your vv grand

Can't keep up with the thread and can't check every 5 minutes. When will the kits become available and stay available? Have about 400 bucks waiting to be spent but can't get the website to let me spend it.

LOL, I feel your pain. Trying to get the exact items I want to all be in stock at the same time to save shipping costs has been more difficult than I imagined.

Good Luck!

PM Rob with your wishlist and a paypal address. By letting him know what you want he can prioritize builds. At least half of my orders have been done via PM for things not in stock.

Include everything you want, instock and out of stock items

Only half? Hell, with the exception of my first REO, all mine have been done that way :)

It's the easiest way.

I tried this the other day but was told everything would be in stock yesterday so I waited. The Reo sold out with no brass LP RM2 listed. Back to waiting I go. Might just end up waiting for the brass doors at this point.

I have honestly never seen a brass LP RM2 even listed on the site.

Just a followup for the non technical folks watching. I installed the new contacts last night, and like many others, had to go with a higher ohm coil. Bottom line for me (not a sub-ohmer) is I'm getting as good or better vapor/flavor, but measurably less drain on the battery.

Since I change out the batteries on a schedule, rather than by performance dropoff, I expect this means I will be swapping out the batteries at a higher voltage, which in theory means their useable life (number of cycles before retirement) should be extended. That, and hopefully even less maintenance than the practically none I was doing before. These improved contacts are a win for me, even though I'm not a "lung burner". Thanks, Robert, you've made a great product even more stellar :)

ETA: I've noticed some mention of sparking when firing. With my now 1.83 ohm coil, I'm seeing none at all, either before or after installing the new contacts.

In regard to sparking, that shouldn't be a surprise in a low-ohm build.

Don't ever do the following. Just don't. It's potentially dangerous in the wrong hands... but if you were to take your charged battery, remove it from the mod and run a short hefty wire from the positive terminal to the negative end, just before it makes contact (and bad things start happening) it's going to spark. If you insert more resistance into the completion of that circuit (an atty with a higher-ohm coil) the spark won't be as noticeable.

It really just means the circuit is completing more efficiently than it had been before.
