where can you buy spare aga gaskets?

I believe I got them from Kidney Punchers a while back. Was like 5-10 of them for $2 or something. I got them for different reasons though. One day one I had my Mini apart I was looking at my bags of parts & noticed they looked the same so I tried one. But I buy 510 posts from Rob & they come with new gaskets & seals anyway.

Yes!! I would be intrested in the voltage drop eliminating upgrades, however I don't seem to be having cleaning, pitting, spring colaps problems because I am not quite a cloud chaser. I keep my resistance no lower then one ohm and am completely satisfied with the Reo Grand out of the box. However, being science triumps over emotions type of guy I will buy into the voltage drop eliminating techniques because efficiancy is always worth improving. Now I will be able to wind a 1.2 ohm coil and get the same vape but a cooler running battery and longer cycle times. I have been out for a wile because since I bought this Reo Grand I have had nothing to do, experiment on, modify or buy, [stopped looking for that magic PV]. All I do is Toke, Toke, toke, puff puff puff and forget about wanting more. Chased clouds with a genny tank a year ago and realised that was not the way to kick back and relax with a good smoke [pardon the expression], Keeping it down to 16 watts max with a power curve down to 13 watts before charge time realy does it for me and my friends still think I look like a Model-T with a BLOWN RADIATOR hose evrytime I exhale. Seriously I still consider it a bit over the top compared to cigarettes. :vapor:

Main advantage if you aren't going way sub ohm is extended battery life.
I haven't measured it but with my standard .8 ohm coil I get roughly 1/3 more time between battery changes measured via juice consumption.

That is with the fuse & brass firing pin mods I have done and Rob's kit should be comparable.

It is a little hotter on the front end but then it settles into the fat part of the battery discharge curve and uses more of the available energy with AW IMR 1600mah

Better batt times; better batt life would suggest a low v drop mech mod is easier on your batts...

I shall explain how that works, in laymans terms (for purposes of being corrected since i'm a duhlard).

Less vdrop means less draw on the batt vs hi vdrop pulling much more juice from the power source (batt) and thats because those added volts lost (subtracted from the batt voltage) in the droppage = strain and stress.

ok. i give. Less vdrop is better for your batts because: ?

I *think* you're absolutely right.

In non-technical terms, the voltage always goes *somewhere*. In the case of vdrop, it's wasted in heat to the MOD, not the coil. So, less vdrop=more "juice" to the coil, so it's more efficient use of the precious electrons hiding inside the battery, therefore, longer vape time per charge cycle. I'm not quite sure how MUCH difference changes to vdrop actually make, but the theory is sound.

Of course, that's just *my* understanding, and due to my age-deteriorating synapases, you should hedge your bet and wait for someone that REALLY knows what they're talking about. Such a one will likely be along forthwith, to politely gloss over my ineptitude and explain how it really works. :)

If you are asking for 10 thingies and 7 thingies are put to good use while 3 thingies are wasted, that's bad.

If you decrease wasted thingies to 1 wasted thingie; you can now ask for only 8 thingies when you used to ask for 10 (and still use 7).

If you're only asking for 8 thingies, you use up the thingies slower.

One can choose to build a higher resistance coil (ask for less thingies); or enjoy a bigger kick in the pants (keep asking for 10 thingies, and receive 9 of them instead of only 7).

I'm being silly. Been a long day.

This is the kind of science that I can understand.
