Had this problem with mine also. Solved it by laying a couple wisps of cotton over the button and pressing the cover over it, then trimming the cotton with an xacto. No more spinning.

Shim did the trick had a paper towel handy ripped a lil strip off it and locked the button press fit it back on all is right in reoville again lol thanks guys

If the piece that you screw on to the post ( the nipple?) isn't tightened enough. How much would that affect voltage drop /vape quality? I dont think I got mine tight enough, was busy at the time and didn't have the right tools with me.

If its not tight you will have a ton of voltage drop and plenty of sparking when the contacts meet the battery . Its not a rush job you need to take your time when rebuilding these . Be careful not to over tighten the post you can break it its made of brass
