that's totally correct... No other mod i know of can you see the connection when switch is pressed.. makes a lot of sense..

This is driving me nuts.first I didn't get it tight enough, vape was off so I tried to tighten up .when I tighten up the nipple to the post and I'm not over tightening it.. Barely enough to get the other part screwed on.. It makes the thin white gasket flake up around the head of the screw and then of course you can't put an atomizer on it. I am on my third thin gasket now, ruined two of them. What am I doing wrong? I watched the video a dozen times.

I would box up that mod and send it to me . If your following the videos instructions you shouldn't be having problems . How can you ruin the thin gasket that thing is teflon and it pretty tough ?

That totally makes sense. The two I have at .6 and .7 spark quite a bit; the 1 ohm sparks, but very little. After swapping out the RM2's, the behavior is the same. So I'm guessing it's a resistance thing rather than something specific to this mod.

Thanks for the reply, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something potentially harmful. It looks like I'm going to wind up going for higher resistance now anyway, the .6 and .7 are too hot for me now!

Holy Jehosephat! Got this supercontact kit installed and my .7 coils are vaping like they're mad at me! I had to back out to 1.2 to reach a comfort zone. Winner winner chicken dinner! Artful work, Rob, and well worth the wait.

When you put your centre post in I wonder if maybe it is sitting too low. Take your atty off very gently push upwards on your feed tube. It won't have to move much but it may be your issue.

When tightend, the center post does not move up or down. If it was a connectivity issue causing the sparking, I dont think I would be getting only .18 voltage drop.

+1,000,000 for the master. I know he is on to something. My friend is a crazy sub ohmer. He likes .13..just roasting lung tissue.. his batteries and mods show signs of the black spots caused by the sparking.

I am just gonna roll with it and see if there are any long term issues. Other than making sure I don't pump gas and vape, which is really stupid anyway, unless I melt something, I am not gonna worry about it.

I am a firm believer in these new contacts. I had done all the other warranty voiding mods and this blows them away hands down.
I Rob...well in a manly way..but much reospect for the mod father!!.

Now that the kits have been out for at least a couple of weeks, has anybody noticed improvement with the voltage drop? I just ordered my sub ohm rebuild kit yesterday and im wondering how much better it will be

I replaced the spring in mine and I'm running it at .3 ohms now. Thats the lowest ive been able to get it with the regular kit without collapsing the spring. And as long as you keep a good amount of noalox on it, it doesnt spark up. At least it hasn't for me.

I had to adjust my coil I had a sore throat at the end of day one myself

I haven't had to use any but like I said I dont go low like you guys . I am happy with a 1 ohm coil . I would think the noalox would help with the sparking

Kits are just being put into service today.

I say a couple of weeks, because i was at my local shop a couple of weeks ago, and we were looking at the reo site for a rebuild kit and it said "sub ohm rebuild kit". But I was able to order one yesterday, so if its just being made today than i guess i will have to wait longer than the usual 3-4 days for it to arrive. I'm not complaining or anything. Im mainly just curious to see what its done to improve voltage drop.

They do don't they. They're almost identical side by side in my 4 bay charger though.

In a reo the button top fits into the recess in the delrin cover thus it sits higher. The body of the VTC5 batteries are about 3/32 longer than the body of the AW IMR 1600. There is still 2.5 to 3/32 left of compression in the old spring with the VTC5 installed. I've never collapsed a spring so I'm not sure if that is enough room, but I'll probably run them also.
