The only time I have seen that is on my clearo when I put in some DIY juiice made with a flavor that is know (not by me) to melt tanks.
Tanks made with polycarbonate plastic apparently melt real easy. My juice frosted the tank and turned the clearo tip into goo. Glass and metal tanks don't have that problem and Polypropylene is less likely to melt but I know of some that cracked and melted with some juice.

yes standard 2.5 ohm type a tank tuned it to 3.7 from 4.2 first one was low resistance at 4.2 volts the hard cap melted at 3.7 the first cap was silicon just tossed the atty figured it wasnt meant to be kinda turned me away from looking into a silver bullet though already having issues with even a basic ego but the new atty i put on "510 smoketech* i debridged myself is fine so far

Yeah .. might have been a faulty atty. Perhaps it had extremely low resistance. Did you try using it at 3.2v on the twist to see if it still melts?

I'm done with egot tank attys. It just seems impossible to get the sweet and cream flavors to pop ... even at low resistance. It's a decent delivery system but the design is flawed when it comes to flavor.

finally someone agrees dripping has evolved my tastes. and yes 3.2v on my twist given it was pretty tough dark juice was still weird given the 1.8 phm and 2.5 ohm attys so far though with the same system my tank stuff (twist and ego tank) have done fine since i replaced the old atty which was 2 days old kinda ...... me off but whatever its only ten bucks .a different web sights low resistance tank is doing me find no need to mention the supply sight that sent it to me usa oriented but the caps from joyetech themselves ive had 2 melted ones just sayin...

Still a tank fan personally. That's why I bought a mini nova and clearomizers. I don't mind cargos either ... I just don't find them cost effective if you're constantly trying new juices and what not.

Tank fan here myself. I don't drip, I just don't care for it, don't ask.

I agree cartos are not cost effective to try out juices because the polyfill prevents a carto to be reusable for different flavors. Mini novas and clearomizers are re-usable, but they are to large in my opinion just to test flavors.

I use anything along the line of what is pictured below. My vendor calls them ce3s, but they can go by other names depending upon the vendor. These typically are the size of a cartomizer or smaller, hold less than 1 ml of juice (which is all you need to test a flavor), are inexpensive, and are reusable. Certain juice reacts with the plastic. It has nothing to do with the battery. If you like the juice get a better tank preferably pyrex with metal caps.

Agreed. Read up: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tanks/219179-lets-make-list-juices-flavors-crack-tanks-ce2s-clearos-29.html#post7203876

Polypropylene is a plastic material safe for use with the volatile flavors. It is the same material used in medical syringes. It has a frosted appearance, unlike the crystal clear plastic of polycarbonate.

510 Pro DCTank Combo Polypropylene DCT tank kits for $21.

If you want a safe tank that is clear, choose a pyrex glass tank:

IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us!

This vendor makes high quality, durable, yet inexpensive glass tanks for less than $18.
