I dont believe thats true, because I have had a battery returned under warranty and the one i recieved back has a different connector type where the battery connects, it is solid on the top and the word "eGo"painted in white on the battery and the other one I originally recieved with the kit has like a dimple in the middle of it.

If it has the word eGo on it its quite rare - its one out of only 100 or so made, since it was a "mistake" to add the word on it. So hang on to that one might be able to sell it for a milliooon dollars someday. *cough* :) - but that should explain to you why your particular battery is different, seeing as it _is_ a different build - and dont worry its just as good as the others; heck might even be better since its a "limited edition" :)

Oh man... I might have to hold these ones hostage now :D

Nah the eGo itself does give insane battery life -mine lasts me about a day before it dies, and im a moderate to heavy user - and weve had reports of _extreme_ heavy users getting 6-8 hours of almost nonstop use, and casual users reported it lasting up to 72 hours.

So, nope, sounds about right :)

Wow . I still haven't been reading the other reviews. If people are only getting 6 - 8 hours they must suck on that thing like they're going to die if they stop lol. I hardly ever put mine down and get a lot more time than that.

Yup, Thy...
I don't put my eGo down for anything, well.. Almost anything..
I do need my hand for the bathroom..
LOL
I am a heavy vapor and it lasts me 8 hr avg...
If I put it down cause I am doing something, it will last a bit longer... If I just puff away like I would die if I put it down, lats shorter.. LOL
I love this eGo, Man!!

So LET GO MY eGo!!

LOL ... yeah I thought I was a heavy vaper since I'm at the desk majority of the day and almost always have a PV in my hand but I must not be if I'm getting so much more battery life. I've actually been keeping a daily log so I'll have it for reference for my final review.

That review will mean a lot more if you're including how much liquid you use during that time, Thy. I'm sure there are folks who take a hit two or three times an hour, and those that take a hit two or three times a minute -- so, if you incorporate how much liquid is used during that battery lifespan it would help gauge it more accurately.

I've been getting about 8 hours and 1.5mls of liquid. Dripping only -- my eGo has never seen a cart of any kind.

to be honest it also depends on the liquids viscosity, how much of it is VG or PG, seeing as VG burns quicker/harder - too many variables in this. I think it will suffice for him to say how much it lasts him on average just as everyone else is doing - i mean, in the end if he gets it to 8hours a day and he says he uses it heavily, then if someone else picks it up and they "only" get 6.5 hours out of it, well - then they STILL wont be getting 6.5 hours out of anything the size of this, if you know what i mean :)

But ofcourse its completely up to Thy to decide on what or how he wants to do his review, just my two cents :p

okay you two stop reading my mind right now!!! :p

I'd thought of both of those things actually. I've always wanted to try and gauge how much liquid I use a day but I go through about 6 different liquids a day minimum so I have never gotten around to it.

I was thinking though that that would be a good way to give perspective on the battery life I'm getting but then also thought of Miks points.

I've gotten probably 18 hours of use in the beginning. And I mean, every second or third breath is an inhale off the eGo, with some breaks during that time. That's how I vape.

My batteries aren't lasting as long as I first got them though. I have not been timing it though, so I can't give in exact number.

To be honest, even if the eGo lasted 5 hours, I would still love it because the eGo itself, is just an extremely pleasurable vaping weapon.

Goodness, I've got one too! Both batteries of the set with the white "eGo" and the "dimple" in the atomiser connection. My other batteries don't have this. <hurriedly going to put those "rare" ones away and use my others instead! ;)>

The wood-looking ones are very classy.

Changable "wraps" would be nice too...
I'll second that! Why not just a slip-on cover, maybe one that would recess the switch a little more with a little more thickness across the switch area...it's kind of not jean's pocket friendly since the V3 switch stands a little proud of the case....I'm afraid it will drain my battery in my pocket. I do like the more tactile case on the V3. Just got mine as a replacement of a V2 today, love the extra room on atty, for me to get a better grip. And I like the new battery/atty connection, easier to keep dry with a q-tip. I believe the draw is a little nicer also, not quite so airy. THANKS ETHAN!

so let me get this straight...both the warantied an the non-warranty are the same...in terms of built/durability/etc....

and the only diff is that they dont carry any warranty? WTH....go figure...am i missing something here...if they came out of the same factory under the same production line...then theoratically, the probabilities of getting a dud would be the same in both warrantied and unwarrantied...so i guess were just playing the statistics game here...

No problem Mick .. I didn't actually want your help .. more like a translation of what he was saying .. but I will figure it out.

To be honest, I didn't realize it was NOT a Janty product .. just thought they were a reseller that received theirs before Janty did being they are in China where they are made. If I thought it was a knock off I wouldn't have bought it .. for instance . . Can't think of the company but Tim in England has the ones with the Janty logo .. Thought this one was the same - just sooner. I will figure it out or rip it apart and buy another. In fact, I will buy another because I always like to have at least 2, one for home, one for my office .. and before I had one I kept in the car ... JUST IN CASE !! [that was the Janty Sticks V2.]
You bought a Joye product. Joye is the manufacturer of the Janty Stick and the eGo too.

Thats correct, Joye manufacturers JANTY products, and can sell them as Joye products as well. The thing to note here is not that the Joye is a knockoff, but that if you buy with Joye at Joye, you get Joye support and warranty, and not Janty - meaning you should contact Joye directly for any support, and warranty claims - and not use the Janty forum.

Afterall this forum is for our paying customers ;)

dont mean to sound harsh, but thats the way its ment to be used. I dont think alot of shops on ECF would like it if someone came to their forum asking questions and asking for support on something they bought straight from the factory? =)

But, as i said before there is no problem here Hokie - i understand you fully and i can see why all of this might seem confusing to you!

Trouble is, the shells are not very user friendly as you would have to pull out all the electronic - and that alone is hard to do without breaking it. So - while that might be interesting to people that know what they are doing, then we do have to keep our products at a consumer level: And taking apart things with hobbyknifes, soldering irons and happy thoughts is not very consumer level. :)
