My supplier emailed me back, he said its a 10 second cutoff. So I've heard a few numbers now ranging from 10-15 seconds. Atleast I know that it's soposed to be this way and I won't be surprised when my new one comes in.

I'll be using this dented one as a backup.

Is it Janty, or another vendors rebrand/clone?

It's a Janty from electronic-cigz.com and it flashes at 12 but the power doesnt stop for like 2 more seconds. nothing wrong with it. AND I just got my second one in from the same place and its the same. It's not even an issue anymore as i've noticed you can just taker your finger off for a half second.

Not that I do.

The ring protector is not dependent on the cone for fitment;
but it slides on easier when using with cone.

You can easily line up the Janty logo on the clip, with the switch button.
It glides on smoothly; and makes a nice *click* sound when it engages...
You can clip it on, but I think it's easier to slide it on,
then just pull the clip quickly off via the tab for smoking!

So. Cal
So I ordered a Janty Stick from the Widows Beadwork, whom I am sad to say is going out of buisness.

So anyway my problem is that I can't get the atomizer that comes with it to work at all. Ive been vaping for about 13 months now and have a pretty good understanding what is going on. I ordered the Janty Stick kit that comes with an atomizer and 5 carts, and I ordered 1 extra Janty atomizer, and I ordered a 510 adapter as I like my 510 and have a lot of that stuff.

The Janty stick is put together and works great with the 510 adapter and atomizer, but the 2 regular atomizers that come with it don't work at all. Not sure what the problem is. I have tightened them down pretty good even with pliers but I get nothing, I tighten down the 510 adapter by hand and it works great. I take the cart off the regular atomizers to see if there is a glow from the atomizer, and get nothing, not a wisp of vapor or heat.

Any thoughts?

Hi,
Some times the inside of the atty doesn't meet with the connection on the stick.
Most likely you would have to use the staple mod.
Take a staple and you need to cut it down then fold together and place inside the hole of the atty. Screw down the atty and be careful to not allow the staple to get pushed all the way inside. (trial and erro, I guess)
Not sure where the thread is that has pic's but it is in this forum I believe.
I just can't find it. But this does work and this will fix the problem on some atties for the stick.
If anyone knows where that thread is please post it and I will still look around for this.

I've found the V3 stick is fussy about which atty it will work with. The ones that come with it from Janty work, and I've found some offshore that work as well. It is, as Stubear says, an issue with the center post contact. The staple mod might work for you, I couldn't get it to work. Thinking about it now, I wonder what would happen if you ground down some of that decorative band around the bottom of the atty (connection end), maybe it would allow you to screw it down a little bit further and make contact?

OK,

So I measured the depth of the center contacting surface at .120 on the regular Janty atomizers, and at .063 on the 510 adapter that worked fine.

After reading the suggestions here the the staple mod did not work, and shaving the ring down did not work either, but after shaving the ring and using the staple mod I got one of the atomizers to work. Kind of troublesome for something that should just screw in and work. I will probably just stick with the 510 adapter, but at least I can try the other for a while now.

Anyway thanks for the help. What model atomizers should be plug and play for he Janty stick? What model is the standard that it comes with? Is it a 901?

Thanks, again

Ratthevol -
I found that the 901 atomizers have to go in past the rim of the adapter. Try finding an extremely tight cart. With the extremely tight cart on, screw the atomizer in. If the atomizer is all the way in it will go down a hair past the edge of the adpater. Pliers didnt work for me. I did come across a few atomizers that I just couldnt get to go far enough in to make contact. But if the atomizer came with the stick it should work.
Here is the link to the thread I started a while back.
