Thanks Richie G for your warning and suggestion. I appreciate very much that you took the time to answer here! :)

Thanks Mic, I've pondered your response now for hours upon hours and have decided....

#Input choice: to send my beloved little Janty Stick back. Ohhhhhh, woe is me! But where do I send it back to? PM me maybe? And, thanks again! :)

Hehe, well you simply go to Janty World - HOME - Janty World and open a ticket on the shop you bought it from, so if thats USA for instance, you pick that helpdesk, and write that Ludo told you to send this back and you would like to be contacted asap with the details for how to do this; then Jeff or Ethan should get in touch with you as fast as they can!

I purchased the original janty stick adapter for the 510 and the initial run of adapters had some issues. It gave a real weak performance and was generally not very impressive. Once Janty got the replacement adapters in, I turned in a ticket and quickly received my replacement (thanks Ethan!) but was quickly disappointed in it's performance as well. Feeling a little snake bit I quickly dismissed the adapter and put it in "the drawer", you know the place where you put the things you buy that suck (i.e. 901 batteries).

Then my friend picked up an adapter for his Janty Stick and it worked like a freight train. So, I went back to the drawer pulled it out and tried it for a few hours, it got a little better but not what I had witnessed his do. I then replaced the battery in the stick with a new one, since it had been in there a while and had been charged and recharged a lot. I charged it for two hours and then tried it.

A LOT more vapor, the throat hit is still slightly diminished but the vapor is not. It performs quite pleasantly actually and I am now happy with the purchase. So, if you think the adapter stinks it may be worth a second try.

Uh.. I vote for dud. Janty makes some great stuff, and is great on customer service, but this particular product needs a rethink, methinks.

That said, they can make it to whatever spec they think appropriate- but I'm gonna buy a Joye adaptor without a resistor for my out of warranty J-sticks for my personal preferences on vapor quality/quantity/510 atomizer performance. I'll take the chance they wont live as long.

Mik, thanks so much for the good instructions! I'll get this done ASAP. Now I need double-sympathy. I'm out a Janty Stick, the dentist almost killed me, and what he charged me is worth 1800 Janty Stick Kits! Good Grief! That's blasphemy!

I'm sorry for sniv'lin, I don't feel very good right now. Except for one thing, I sure do appreciate Janty replacing my Stick after I did what I did.

i didn't order an adapter awhile back but i knew that the original production run was stopped because there were- so does this mean that they are now selling the new version of the adapter thats fixed?

Not at all. the "new" one still has a resistor in it (it's just a tiny bit less resistance). Still has poor performance. I bought the AltSmoke unit and it rocks like a full bore 510 can. I also took my Janty adaptor apart and removed the resistor. It rocks like the AltSmoke unit now.

Save your money - buy the AltSmoke unit. It's cheaper and it works.

I'm sooooooooooooooooo confused.... first, what did you remove??? The Altsmokes looks like a screw.. If I ordered afew, I would just screw it into the atty and then pop it into the stick like I put in the regular adapter??

Ludo, since you are the boss and you told me to send my Janty Stick back for a replacement, I am following your orders. You are a very nice boss. :)

When I try to open a ticket it asks for an Order# so I just put in the number given me when I ordered the stick. Then it told me that the ticket save failed and that my email was already registered and did I want another password. I don't know how to proceed from here. Can someone help?

ladysolitary85, thanks for the hug! I feel better already! :D

The AltSmoke unit is just fine. It's an all metal unit. It's only isue is that it's short and buries the 510 atty in the Jantystick. The cart then only sticks out about 1/2". But it works great!!

The Janty 510 adaptor is the one with the resistor. I had to mangle it pretty bad to get it apart to remove the resistor. It's not designed to be taken apart. If you go with the AltSmoke unit you'll be very happy

Hi Quitter,

That sounds great!! I'll have to order one of those too since I want to have a number of them here.. I'm just wondering about how to make sure it connects.. I guess you are putting it on the atty and then screwing it in, considering trying to get into the area would be difficult..

I'm sure not ripping anything apart...

I know that I want to purchse more Sticks and any other Mods from Janty.. These are more than durable and Janty is great to purchase from...

Thankys Again...
