There is a ton of information on the eGo around these boards, and at Janty World - HOME - Janty World - but to save you some time in reading, no these are 3.7 volt devices that last for 10 hours on one charge, and has a beautiful design to boot.
To my knowledge no one is offering a "safe" 5v design yet - and we will not put out our high powered models until 2010, - and until we find safe, regulated ways of doing so.
I have an email from UPS and that email has a tracking number. That tracking number says I'm getting an eGo very soon, so it is my favorite tracking number in the world right now. It also has an X and a Z which I think we can agree are the coolest letters in the alphabet ... no offense to Q.

Order my eGo at 6:00am this morning...a few hours later, I received my UPS shipping number. It's scheduled to be here Wednesday.

OK, it finally hopped off into oblivion. 8-o I can't find anywhere on your website to contact you unless I open a ticket. I need a new battery cover so I can use my stick. I'm sure by now you must have a bunch from returned &/or broken sticks. I know you have the cover from the broken one I returned!

My shipping status shows my eGo should arrive on 1/4/2010. Hopefully UPS gets it to me early. Does anyone know if they did upgrade the shipping?

They did upgrade. in fact, on the UPS site it state my original scheduled receive date has changed from 1/4/10 to 1/30/09..................Woohoo.
I didn't want to mention shipping in case mine was a mistake but I originally got 2-day shipping and UPS is saying it will be here tomorrow. So it looks like shipping was upgraded, which is great. Nobody promised they would ship on any specific date so I consider the quick shipping a nice surprise.
what kind of atomizer does the eGo use? Bigger/more durable than the DSE901/RN4075 used on the Screwdriver?
Pfft. they have nothing on the Hongkong postal service. I got a track and trace number saying that my package left on the 21st for Denmark. I called my postal office today and they say my package is still in the Hongkong airport, in a SACK!

i just got my ego and it fits, but with the meatal covering its very tight draw, so
leaving the cover off is ok, very light draw.
a few minutes later i just removed the black paper from the carto, and now its ok even with the metal covering in place.
with the cover in place i can adjust the draw tightening or loosening until i find my sweet spot, for me the lighter draw is better. i think the light draw is possible, because the eGo threads ....is it called rabbet ? , are a good bit deeper than on the 510.
in genereal the draw on the eGo with the heaven gifts adapter is lighter than with the original manual KR8081-D battery, which tend to draw a bit to hard for my taste most of the time.
