"So the question becomes...Is vaping supposed to be this time consuming and difficult?"

No, but - someone has to get the bad one of the bunch, and in this case it seems that was you.

Take contact to Ethan, and send ALL of the eGo set back and have a fresh one sent, - and ask Ethan to check that one before he sends it. It sounds like you just got a bad one to be honest. This happens sometimes unfortunately.

Yes - I found it a bit confusing...

On the adaptors page -
AltSmoke | Personal Vaporizer Battery Adapters - Adapters - PV Parts
there are 2 drop-down boxes.

First select the battery you want to adapt from (in your case 510).
Then the lower drop-down box will light up.
And then select the atomizer you want to adapt to (in your case 901/KR808D).

I got my adapter from cigtechs.com where you can also get some great VG juice. I'm always on the hunt for great VG. Of course now that Vapor4Life has VG preloaded into cartomizers I have an amazing new solution too! eGo vapes a cartomizer great!
Thanks. I just ordered from CigTechs. Do you use the VG because of an allergy to PG? What are the advantages of VG?

Agreed. I guess option #2 might be a sliding on/off switch like some of the box mods. Maybe near the bottom opposite the switch side. I have a Bartleby with that type of switch and it's held up nicely.

Pocket or pouch carry isn't an absolute necessity but it sure makes life easier. ;)

Sorry, had to laugh....just got this imagine of someone with the V4 emailing Ethan with a failed switch ticket - only to find the on/off switch, off :-x

Elendil is right on all counts. I don't think I have an actual allergy, but I'm finding that my mouth is just very sensitive since I quit analogs totally. PG juices are making my tongue very very sore and raw, which isn't fun. I've also discovered unfortunately that even a higher nic level, like maybe over 18 max, burns my mouth quite a bit.

At first I was happily vaping all 18-36 with no issues. Maybe my mouth and throat was callused from the analogs? Seriously I wonder, but in any case now I know I can comfortably vape VG based liquids even with PG type flavorings up to 18mg, but 11 is honestly better. I was a very heavy smoker so I'm pretty much puffing on the 11 all day but anything is better than analogs and the eGo is fun enough that I'm sure not complaining.

I've also learned that I'm really about vapor production, and VG pumps big clouds with the softer throat hit I like.
