Well..your'e asking for opinions, so heres mine.
I have Several Dura-C's, The Kissbox Extended and the Stick. Numerous others by other suppliers/manufactures too. My favorite of the Janty products that I own is still the Dura-C. You guys really got this one right,(everyone knows it and everyone tries to copy it.) The maunal battery along with it's atomizer is the secret. The reason I stick by it is, that it gives great vapor and throat hit, and comes sized as a reasonably small tube shape PV for out in public and special occasions. Thus it is the one I reccomend to beginners, and others who are looking for the same experience.
I never use the Kissbox anymore because of it's size. It is the size of a very large pen. Tube types are best smaller. We all are previous smokers and in a way still emulating (needing to copy) smoking with our choices of the tubes types. Evidently, it is the ideal size and shape for many of us previous smokers for whatever reason, emotional, physical, etc.. Do you really sell more of the Kissbox over the Dura-C? If so, maybe you are right to want to offer this. Otherwise, I would think that making the Kissbox more bulky is a bad idea. More batteries or not. I think the prototype looks like a large type of butane lighter. The kind you use to light a log stove, gas furnace or fire place. If you made a cover for the batteries I would assume that is what it was. I would not want to vape on it. Also when I look at it, it looks like a tool with prongs, or maybe some kind of electronic tester with two poles to it. Maybe a tuning fork?
Just my opinion, but I would rather see the Dura-C in more classy metal colors. More choices for it. Maybe a classy jewel at the end offered on some too. I would like to see some kind of automatic dripper for it, small and discrete.
So.. my answer to your question is a very big NO! Do not go bigger on any of your products that already exist. Instead, get busy and finish that hookah. I want one for my coffee table to share the vaping experience with family and friends. Why is it not on the site anymore? Inquiring minds want to know what you have done with it.
Well first of all:
The dura-c wasnt released at the same time with the kissbox: they are different products, covering different time "phases". I agree with you - the Dura-c is fantastic. On a sidenote to that if you do love it you should try out the extended batteries - i havent tried them myself, but im hearing people go nuts over them ( i have 2 on the way so i wont be able to comment personally until then ).
The idea for this item, was to make something inexpensive, to beef up an existing product. Just like the extended batteries are there now for the dura-c. It might not look right design wise in your eyes, but this design has been made with practicality in mind; Keep it simple, cheap. And when you have to adhere to those two rules, you do have to limit yourself unfortunately.
But this is also why we post on here, to get some more feedback. First time around we asked people about it, and got a massive no. Then after a while pm's starting coming in, people started asking about it, commented on old threads, all saying they loved it. This is why we had to revisit the issue of the Twinbox.
And while i do feel your concern for us in regards of wanting us to beef up the dura-c line with more color choices, etc - then you have to remember that even though its a growing market, its still a market you have to be somewhat cautios in at times; If we produce 1000 red, 1000 blue, 1000 gold dura-cs ( i dont know why i picked gold.. *cough* ) - then we might get stuck with 900 of each.
To give you an example: It was possible for a time being to get pink atomizers - but nobody bought them. If we were to fast forward a few years, i believe they will all be sold - and you needed to stock them; Cause then the user base of electronic cigarettes, and the market in general would be wider; The audience would be bigger so to say - and this audience, would ofcourse, consist of multiple personalities, genders, races - all wanting something completely different.
But right now we still have to work on the "safe" choices for the most parts. Black is always good. White is something we are heavily considering, and so on.
Lets see what happens - so far, this thread is definately leaning towards a no on the twinbox; But we have to give it some more time to let other users chime in - and i certainly appreciate your input!
on the Hookah; It is still being developed, but its a big task =) Why its off the webpage is because we have some other items coming out before it, so in that way it makes a bit more sense to promote these first; but we have not forgotten about it!
To some extent, i also think there is a difference when it comes to men and women on e-cigarette designs; Most men tend to prefer gadget-like items, where as most women would like it to be sleek, elegant, and not really pop out that much.
The problem with that is; Women will buy the gadget looking items, - due to their power, durability, or just because other people love them ( for instance the Jantystick ) - where as not many men will buy a pink e-cig, even if it would kill their lungs with every hit =)
But ofcourse there is always the golden middleroad - such as the Dura-c. And i agree with you - it is probably the best item we have so far all round. It works very well, and it looks very nice.
Having said that, im still going to be using my Cameo
By the way, i think the idea of being able to use the Twinbox as a tuning fork would be excellent..
