Whoa8-o

This has to be one of the most angry threads I have ever read:mad:

Mik_Janty, I'm glad you have broad shoulders because I would hate to be on the receiving end of some of these comments.

It's a shame you can't change that thread title, it seems like a lot of folks are going back to what was originally stated.

It's also seems like you're paying for 'sin's of the father' (pardon the pun) on some of these issues and while you are associated with Janty now I feel that you shouldn't have to be beat up for mistakes you had no part of.

However, like I was told at the DMV when my license plates got stolen and I had to pay for new ones "Nobody said life was fair and somebody has to pay":-x

So in terms of the past issues just remember, when situations give you lemons, try to make lemonade:)

I have never owned a Janty product but I am interested in the Cameo, it seems like a lot of other people are as well reading these responses.

I too have been associated with a business that is 100% sure of a date and then at the 11th hour you have to retract a former statement.

It's always a lose/lose situation:(

The only bright side is if the product is all that it's cracked up to be in time you will acquire more business that replaces the old; our community grows everyday, so take encouragement in that fact.

At this point in time you might as well take as much time as you need to get stock up and make the Cameo the best it can possibly be, no need to rush, some people are just going to be angry regardless.

Trust is a hard thing to build and a difficult thing to keep despite our best intentions.

Hopefully that lost trust will be reestablished in the quality of the new Cameo.

One can only hope:)

I for one am looking forward to the release whenever it is...

Hopefully, all this will work out and we can get a great product and you/Janty can have reestablished trust and increased business.

All the best to everyone.

I would try another USB cable.
Also it's possible that the USB port on your laptop is working badly.

Have you got a 5 volt supply, a power pack?

It may also be the janty, however if this is the second time it's happened with two different sticks, it must be something at your house.

Gotta agree with Quovadis here and not so much with Mik. (sorry Mik <g>)

The common denominator seems to be the USB to mini-USB cable supplied by Janty. I bring this up because mine is about the same age as the OP's and mine no longer works. I charge my JS batts via a wall charger. It's unfortunate that the OP doesn't have a wall charger or a spare USB cable as this should be easy to get to a solution.

Anyway, unless you can tell me that the Cameo is something other than just another "box mod", you have lost my interest with your dishonesty.

Try talking up your product without dissing someone else's. You will gain a lot more respect.

WolrdPax, relax! You are right, this isn't a big deal. If you have read this entire thread you will note that apologies have been given, ***** happens, doesn't appear like Janty is being dishonest, just frustarted! As are we as consumers.

Your first post was very challenging, I'm sure just to try and get a little more information. Being in sales a long time, it appeared to me to be an objection. A salesman's first response to an objection is to over come it. That is all Mik did, offer some points that would distinguish Janty products from PrueSmoker.

You made your effort at trying to pry more info out of Janty and they made their effort to overcome your objection. Didn't work either way. That's life, no need to get offended or devolve into anger.
If Janty is not ready when you are, buy the Protege.

Last year I wanted to buy a Honda Automobile. The dealer didn't have the model I wanted and wouldn't for awhile, Tried like hell to get me into another Honda I didn't want. I went down to Nissan and bought one that suited me. I'm dissapointed Honda didn't and couldn't get me what I wanted, but I'm not mad at Honda. Just the way life works out.

When I was a kid, during the summers I worked at a YMCA camp. An event was coming up and they were going to pop popcorn. Someone donated a BIG popper like the ones you see at the movie theaters. It was really grungie, dirty from years of popping and old oil and dust, really a mess. One of the workers there taped the hell outta the thing wherever there was a seam with ductape and filled that thing up with about two cases of cocacola. Several hours later he dumped it all out and that popcorn popper looked brand new.

That is the day I stopped drinking Coke!!!!

I'm not angry, a bit miffed maybe. I did read the entire thread and I disagree with their decision, which is what I'm expressing. I don't think I've attacked anyone, I've just stated my case.

Fact: Janty, and their representative promised something and didn't deliver.

I and others were obviously frustrated by this, why not make it right. Give us a peek at the concept, with the understanding that the details are not set.

Fact: Mik_Janty has taken the opportunity in several posts to make "metal tube" comments.

His response to my post was not the first. I just pointed out the benefit of metal over plastic. You'll notice I also pointed out the Stick's benefit of compact design. Different devices have different features. I could throw my Prodigy across the parking lot, pick it up and start vaping, but it's not the most comfortable thing to have in your pocket.

So no anger here, just healthy debate and expressing my displeasure at a promise not kept. What else am I going to do stuck in Houston for the weekend? I've caught up on all my TV, and all the new movies are crap. I'd go for a bike ride but someone set the Texas thermostat to "hell" and I only have one free shower left.

Hello all.

just got my js about 2 days ago -
and I must say it is certainly a convenient device.
Love the included pass thru, and I can even use a wall adapter and plug it in
on the rare occasions when I'm not vaping this badboy.
keeps it nice and charged up.

However,
I'm gettin' a little nervous about not having an electrical source around to charge this.

I've read folks getting 4 hours and up from their battery.
In my (limited) experience I'm only getting about 2 hours - free of any cords.
this is two hours of heavy vaping time - (not including when i put it down for twenty mins or half hour here and there).
I've fully charged (with wall adapter) and depleted the battery, and I get about the same time as from an 801 auto batt.
I've done this with both batteries included in kit.
this seems inconsistent with other accounts I've read on this forum.

it concerns me - if i do not have access to any outlet, I'll only have 4 hours of total vape time (with 2 batteries).
? my question is this...
What is your untethered battery life - per battery?
(please include how much time is spent actually vaping)

if anyone out there has used 801 auto batteries - were you getting the same usage (time) as your janty stick untethered.

I'm very curious to hear other users experiences.

thanks!

I've used a JS as my main vape since mid-May. Every work day I leave the house at 5:15 AM and return home at 4 PM or so when I'm not working OT. On a half dozen occasions (non-OT) I have changed the battery before arriving at home. I use 1 1/2 - 2 mls of liquid per day. Only within the past couple of weeks have I noticed that the batteries are starting to wear down quicker as I don't get a solid throat hit late in the day. (that's a rotation of 4 batteries, btw)

Unless you are vaping a LOT of liquid, my guess is that you got a couple of bad batteries. Especially if you've tried charging them in both the wall charger and via the USB cable. (the wall charger is the definitive method of charging, IMHO)

When I used the 801 pen style I would normally get about 3 hours out of battery.
