Hey guys.

Heres quite a bit of updates for you all:

  • The atomizer cover and battery house will be in METAL - due to safety issues. This is not what i initially wanted, but we have to have things CE certified, and they are asking for it.
  • The color we initially will produce the Baby J in, right now, looks like it will be as on the picture, but with a BLACK MATTE for the atomizer cover + battery house - and the rest will be shiny silver
  • We will NOT do a high voltage battery house until 2010. The reason for this is again a CE certification issue. The plan is still to make it though.
  • Production is about to commence - but again this could be delayed, i will keep you informed!
  • The little rounding near the mouthpiece on the atomizer cover has to go - this will complicate the mould and make it alot more expensive
  • The LED color selection might be changed due to various issues. As it looks right now it will be able to select between white and blue LED colors only

So.. there you go! hope this helps a bit ;)

Hey guys

a bit of update on this one:

We are still working on making it possible to use other batteries, but this has some natural complications: For instance two dura-c batteries would have buttons on them (!) - so.. ill get back to you on this.

We are planning to make adapters for all existing atomizers for this.

We are about to commence production of it - and the finished design is pretty close to the one i previewed in the video.

Once its ready, i will do another video of it!

I still dont have any price estimate on it =/ sorry!

Thanks for the updates- for now what voltage will the baby J be putting out? 3.7? also will there definitively be a HV option for the baby j? the reason why I ask is I am trying to figure out if I want to buy one now or wait till the HV is released- thats the main reason I want the baby J is for the HV.

Also, what is CE and what exactly do they certify?

Hey

For the Highvoltage option, i cant say yet im afraid. It IS the plan, and it IS supposed to be an integral part of the Baby J - thats the best i can say.

And yes it will be born with 3.7v - the main idea behind this is dual:

One is to create a nice looking at home vaping device - something a bit classier than normal, with a long lasting battery.

Another is to create a modular system, where you will have highvoltage options, and other fun accessories, which can be exchanged via the battery house.

The price, i cant say yet im afraid - these details always are the last to come in : we have to calculate the exact cost, and this is only something we can do once we have made the exact prototypes, and can then determine the items production cost, ofcourse.

So - sorry, but i cant help anymore than this at the moment =)

Hey guys.

Production is about to commence - but again this could be delayed, i will keep you informed!

Does this mean the final, ready to ship product is about to be produced. or is it that your prototype that you will test for an amount of time before making the final model is about to be produced?

Kate51, the auction for that item has ended. Do you have another link?

Edit, nvm, I find another listing for it.. I will keep this in mind if the warranty ever passes and my switch breaks. Thanks!
I just bought some of these for myself, have been looking all over.
Will work better, probably more than you'd need, but handy for lots of things.

Hey Dale,

it means both kinda. The prototype is almost ready - i dont necessarily have to get that in my hands in order for us to launch production - it depends. If it pops out and they can see its working perfect, and they send me pictures of it, and it also looks like i want it, then we start production!

Oh and:

The atomizer cover and battery house is NOT in metal: its in plastic - we changed it back.

If you can say- in your opinion how long until you see this beauty being shipped out? Next month, couple weeks, tomorrow? any sort of time frame- and we will not hold you to it- or IYO the earliest possible expected release date if things fall into place perfectly and no set-backs or changes?

Also are you going to do a pre-order or first come first serve when the time comes?

Hey

I honestly dont know.

From my experience it varies so much that it could be within 2-3 weeks, or 2-3 months. Its impossible to say. All i know for certain is that we are working directly to get this to the market ,- and it cant get any faster than that. But im crossing my fingers it will happen soon! ;)

I dont know about pre-orders or first serve, - i think it might be the ladder to be honest.

What would be really cool is if the Baby J had a cover similar to a fountain pen. That way you could easily carry the thing without any special holder or a bag. When you want to vape, you simply take the cover off. When you are done, put the cover back and your PV is now completely protected.

Damned good looking device.

I'm impressed.

It's shaped kind of like a quality fountain pen, and I like that - somewhat reminiscent of a Mont Blanc.

I'd love to see it with a tip that looks more like a pen tip, instead of the flat tip, so it could be stealth sitting on the desk.
Maybe a silver pen-style teardrop pocket-clip integrated at the top?

Or maybe even some stylistic models in the future?

Sorry, no - this is not a design we are aiming for - besides the Baby J is designed for at home use - much like a cigar. The idea is not to hide it, but to be proud of it. ;)

But thanks for your input!
