Hard to tell the size scale from the photo, but the one that most of use complained about losing, is from underneath the top fill cap. Nothing holds it in place once the top fill cap is off. The NEW Merlin Mini does not use that design.
It goes on top of the piece on the top right of his pic.

Thanks, but 145 pages would be like looking through a novel
Why did they press fit the AFC ring, what happens when the o-ring under the AFC gives out?
Exactly why i stopped relying on the Merlin.I now use kayfun V5 clones.Great vape you can fully strip them down,no leaking, easy build and all parts are easily available.I do love the Merlin,i have two but not for the long run.

Why am I always doing all the dirty work?Rick????!!!:p
Page 62 is the first of many disassembling pictures.
I still use my Mer!in everyday. Fwiw while not ideal all of my attys have press fit parts except my Kayfuns. Including 5 Subtanks, 1 nautilus, 4 Nautilus minis, and my Lemo2. I have had no issues with them so far with a years worth of vaping.

Again, I don't see any issue with the press fit, it comes apart/goes together quite easily, and is held under tension by the 510. Not the best way to do it, but simple and pretty effective. I could take it apart and replace the o-ring literally blind folded in under 5 minutes. Minimum of tools required, and just a little mechanical ability.

As for the KF5, it is an OK atomizer, but it does not match the Merlin in performance. Mine sits on the rack with a few hundred other atomizers. Merlin has seen daily use since I got it. Hoping the Mini performs as well, which will be here soon.

Easiest method I've found to pull apart the deck, drop the 510 pin, insert a brass or Delrin (steel is OK, but tougher on the surfaces) rod/punch with a flat tip that fits into the 510 connector. A few taps while holding tightly in your hand and it is apart. Putting it together is just as easy, make sure it is started squarely, a few light taps and it is back together. All of my Merlins have been broken down for cleaning in this manner. None were difficult at all to do.

Ok, my ring doesn't turn with the tank, it's stuck solid on the base. I turn the tank a couple of mm to open or close the jfc, similar to a Kayfun
I've got the version with the square juice holes
If your jfc is opening and closing and the ring is not spinning something is wrong.
The tank and ring should spin together.

Then somethings wrong, The JFC ring looks like it's part of the base and doesn't budge.

I just turn turn the tank on the base to open and close the JFC. I'm lucky the Juice flow holes match up to the end of the tank/base thread when I screw the tank on.

I bought two from GB and they're exactly the same.

There's a hairline of space above the AFC ring, If I keep the hairline widest I get a tighter draw, otherwise its too airy for my style of Kayfun M2L

I bought them from GB in the sale for $11 each, maybe there's a real reason why GB is knocking them out so cheap. Bad batch / poor QC?
They're both brand new, smelled of machine oil, washed them both for 30 minutes in the ultrasonic cleaner.

Apart from the stuck solid JFC ring and hairline gap on top of the AFC ring they both vape well
BUT I'm having leaking issues from around the AFC, pretty bad leaking. Thought it was condensation but it's sweet liquid

That stinks. I would at least contact them. They may only ask for a picture or video of the problem. Couldn't hurt.
