Go to a hardware store and find the thinnest 7/8 inch diameter nylon or mylar washer to use as a spacer on the stupid shallow joyetech 510 connections...

Again no, every other tank ive ever put on these mods works without me having to compensate for someone elses bad manufacturing....

I dont pay for almost working stuff that i have to fiddle with.

I wouldnt go in to buy a car and say, "look just give me one that almost fits what should be a pretty standard parking space, if it doesnt fit ill just take a spray can with me and redraw the parking space"

Like ive pointed out, soemone else has already confirmed theyve got an overly long 510 on their Merlin, and yet the guy i bought mine with and who's Merlin came form the same source is fine.

If you want to make suggestions, perhaps mentioning a washer and suggesting i fix it isnt the ultimate destination for advice/feedback. Id pick AugVape and tell them to lift their game on quality control, and if they could get rid of the jfc as well that would be peachy :)

I suspect theyre getitng several pages of feedback at the moment

Sorry about your JoyeTecc woes ..respect, i feel for you, i do...been there :)

Did you try a heatsink with it? I know there was mention of some having to use one with their boreas on the rx. I've not had that issue with any of my 3 of that atty personally though.

Okay, so i should go and buy something else to fix a problem that shouldnt be there and i specifically didnt want or expect when i ordered it? :)

Please direct your feedback at AugVape (i have in many ways other than here), i cant fix their issues for them :)

Something is often forgotten about Chinese vape gear in general. May not be a valid vindication for all, but we ARE talking about something being made and wholesaled in quantity @ around $10 USD, anything over that is profit by someone else, be it retail vendor, taxation, or shipper.

I personally find it quite a bonus if I purchase any gear from China which works perfectly out of the mailbox. Happily over the last year or so quality on most of the stuff China ships to us has gone up while prices have gone down.

Yes it would be nice if everything I bought is 100%, but truthfully that is an unrealistic expectation. The fact that Augvape has dipped into whatever profit they make to send out replacements to vendors is a pretty fair response to the issues.

It was not feedback by any means. While I understand what you are saying, there is bound to be a problem with anything in vaping. I had a problem with both of my ohmega boxes I ordered and my limitless. I'm not upset, it's bound to happen.

But, for you to sit here and be a dick to people offering suggestions to solve a problem you had with your individual atty (or your countryman's for that matter) is not necessary. As ccwater just said, 100% perfect wont happen. I've got a friend that had to send his efusion back due to a faulty usb board. So even that device is not above defects.

But the minute you call me a dick, thats just trolling

Meanwhile more long 510 pinners are turning up on other forums

Well my luck is holding steady for these past few months. I've slowed down buying gear lately and concentrated on stocking up of eliquid and supplies. But...it seems that when I do order a piece of hardware...even after its been out for a while and reviewed...an issue pops up. ((See Sig 213 thread...yeah, I jumped on that one quick for form factor)). By the way, my Merlin should be here tomorrow. From this thread, my orings will be crap and the 510 will be a foot long.:grr:

Sorry but stating the fact you were being a dick to both bt and myself in response to your problem is not trolling. Both suggestions are more then viable solutions to the long pin issue.

You chose to be a smart ... and whine about how you shouldn't have to do anything to make it work. While I agree we shouldn't have to, as ccwaters said, it's unrealistic to think that since there is no standard to length of 510 pins or depth of the 510 connector.

That's where a little self engineering comes in. To short use a heatsink with an adjustable 510. To long use a spacer or heatsink as bt and myself suggested. Again both usable and viable options to solve a problem in an imperfect world.

Again, i gave reasoned responses.

If you want to feel superior, and calling me names (i never called you a smart ....) then keep trolling. Your choice, not mine.

Saying that everyone should be prepared to fix a vendors faults when theyve paid for a non-defective unit is really quite the opposite of what should happen. Will it make them less likely to remedy the issues, id suggest not.

I apply logic and rational thinking to the problem, not a superiority complex, which might be useful in a forum, but not much good in the outside world.

You even liked some of my posts, as i did yours. I dont know where you chose to switch to attacking me. I didnt suddenly change tack on you.

Anyhoo....Its not getting anyone anywhere.

Mines on its way back, so theres really no point in defending what i shouldnt have to defend, which is reporting an obvious defective flaw. Always nice to get attacked for merely pointing out a vendors flaw, but being made to feel its somehow my problem why not direct some of your suggestions (and hostility) to where its better deserved...AugVape. If you tell them theres a problem, they might fix it. If you keep patching things up for them, im guessing nothing will change.

Again, I'm not trolling you. You are right I did like some of your posts. I attacked you because you had a smart ... remark. It has absolutely zero to do with superiority. It has to do with offering a viable option to make the device function as wanted. And again, I completely agree that it should work as intended. But, again, until there is a standard on both 510 and 510 connector this problem will exist. Since you're done feeding us bread I'll stop offering you anything as well. Hope you find that perfect device with perfect 510's in the future non the less. Happy vaping :).

These are mass produced products from china, so yes some are not going to be perfect, I have 3 and all of them sit flush, but even if 1 wasn't, I would take the easy fix of bit of sandpaper on the bottom pin, that is a lot less hassle than packing back and going to the post office to send back, but everyone to their own.

All products gets lemons, I bought a HCigar VT75, which uses the DNA board, very well known for being solid boards, but mine wouldn't charge or connect, so yes that one I did send back for replacement, 2nd one I got a week later and has been perfect :D
