Wow that's the first picture I've seen with those juice holes. Those look much bigger than the oval ones. Does it ever flood if you draw too much?

No, all I get is some condensation around the base like my other RTA's. I was getting a bit of juice on my fingers when I would re-open it in the morning some times, mostly with the the first wick or two using cotton, but it has been dry as a bone when opening it the past 2 days since switching to rayon (rayon requires a bit different technique, thinner tails). I did get a leak the other day due to forgetting to close the JFC/AFC when I refilled it lol.

You got to be kidding, now a THIRD size hole? First we had small ROUND, then larger OVAL, now huge SQUARE. No wonder the super nice owner of SubTank supply told me he doubted he would be ordering anymore, imagine the hassle of dealing with previous BUYERS REMORSE? I've got 3, and I'm done.

Lol next one there won't be any holes. Just wire and wick submerged in a tank of juice with a one way air valve under the coil. It'll be called the......RBTA rebuildable bubble tank atomizer. :)

Hi everyone, it's been awhile. I was wondering if I could get some help. I bought a used Merlin, the original deck with round JFC holes. I've been wicking it according to other users and two reviewers who also wicked the same way. It's leaking like a ....! My thought was to put new o-rings in. My friend said there might be a thread here about seating the deck? IDK, but if you have anything useful to tell me, I'd sure appreciate it. Thx

Are you covering the liquid feed holes all the way?

To reseat the deck:

1. Place the merlin deck upside down in a 13/16" spark plug socket or similar. This should be supporting the deck by the juice flow ring.

2. Place an additional socket over the 510 connector. This would be any size large enough to not touch the 510 connector

3. Tap the top socket several times with a hammer. Try to tap it dead center so any pressure will be evenly distributed across the entire deck.

If you are experiencing leaks, it's more than likely due to wicking. Make sure your wicks completely cover the tops of the juice wells and that it is not touching the portion of the deck that contains the air hole.

Where is it leaking from? The bottom of the glass tank, or the air slots. If it's not the way the wick is setup, It could be that the o rings are getting worn out. You said it was used. If you don't have spare o rings. I made a thread a long time ago on here and it works for me.

If the o rings look worn like they are too big and don't have the elasticity they should. Take off all the o rings and drop them in boiling water for like 5 to 10 minutes. Then move them into ice cold water for another 5 minutes dry them and use them. This should allow the rubber to expand and then contract so that they shrink back to the normal size.

I just tore mine down to wash it for some new juice/rayon and try a pre-coiled hive wire I have that is lower ohms than the clapton I have been using. Fitting a dual coil setup like that looks a bit tedious. You have more patience than I do that's for sure.
