Mesh over the wick without res. wire .. Is it possible ?

Hi ... Imeo gave me an idea while he was talking about SS wire ..
I used a small piece of wick (as long as the diameter of the Ody ceramic) rounded over the wick ..
Then I rounded tight the two no res. wires, at the two ends of the mesh ...
Look what I mean :

My problem is that the resistance of the mesh (one turn over the wick) is too low ... 0.6Ω ..
I guess that I should use more mesh ..
What do you think ??

Why did you oxidized the mesh ? .. To have a standard resistance of it ?

I didnt test it because it had only 0.6 Ohms... I will try it with more mesh ...

I mis read your post.. I see you are trying to use the resistance of the mesh as your coil.. I used a standard coil with resistance and no resistance but i rolled the coil OVER the oxodized mesh.. with a 4/5 wrap.. I had 1 wrap off each side of the piece of mesh with 3 wraps on the mesh.. So it was a 40% silica 60% SS mesh by ratio of where the resistance wire was touching.

if its working, you no need 2 pieces of NON wire, you need only one, long enough. Then place the mesh in the middle

0,6 ohms is not bad at all on Ody. Have you already vape it like this?

Also I did something different. I rolled mesh and I used it like R wire. It worked of course. Thats why I said to another thread that we can maybe use SS wire instead of nichrome and kanthal.

I didnt test it because it had only 0.6 Ohms... I will try it with more mesh ...

I tried something like this (not oxidized mesh with RWire) long time ago in Ody, but as i remember, i got double ohms after 3-4 hours of vapping
What mesh do you use imeo ?
